Hi Diane, I was wondering if you may have any quick tips on painting snow or large white objects? How do you get the values, saturation etc. to work, when everything is white, or atleast appears white? LoL
If not, could you possibly do a tip on that?
Thank you:)

I actually just had this problem the other day. Thank you, soooo very helpful

Keeping the pallet tidy and working methodically and cleanly, it all makes perfect sense! Many thanks as always, Dianne. Off now to out it into practice of a tricky summer-lit tree problem...

Thank you.  This will help!

Very useful! I'll practice close  value contrast. I love when you give excercises ❤

thankyou just what I wanted

Love and appreciate all your quick tips

Thank you for another great quick tip!

My hack for oil painting. I use neutral grey and transparent white to desaturate and balance my pallet and make minor changes with swinging the color too far from the last. Proper lighting in the studio too. Having a bright light on your paint but a different light on your canvas and then your subject... It's very hard to control values when the literal values you are seeing are different and inconsistent.
