Don't be fooled - Deadlock has roles. They're not quite on the hero select screen, but knowing how your character fits into a team lineup will mean you can do the things you're best at - and leave the things your character SUCKS at to someone else!

post 'city never sleeps' update: map is CRAZY but this video is still accurate! some differences in farm locations, but shouldn't change how you play these roles :)

I don't think I'll ever work on a video this long again.
This was a mammoth undertaking - work started on it 6 months and 12 days ago. If it flops I'm never opening deadlock again (lie).
The best way to support the channel and future high effort videos is to do all the normal things - but especially share it with your friends who might have something to learn.

The thing in the end is very important. League of Legends has been played for 15+ years. Over that period, pretty much every character has seen success in pretty much every role, with very few exceptions. I assume that the same will hold true for deadlock.

Im a sinclair main, and I am glad they got covered here specifically. If I was the one making up the lineups for each and every position, I'd genuinely put Sinclair EVERYWHERE, they are so flexible you can play them as any position. Granted, they are much more common as pos 5, but I find myself very often as pos 2 if I boltclair, or even position 4 if I punchclair. Hell if my early game went well, the enemy seven is throwing, and the opposing team doesn't know what a knockdown/curse is, I can even sometimes work as a position 1! Sinclair can do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, be ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE, and those people who say that their kit doesn't make any sense just don't understand the character

The off-carries - 13:37
Frontliners - 21:27
Roaming carries - 31:58
Hard supports - 38:24
Flex support - 43:52

Everyone is gassing up the editing and music of the video, so I wanna be the one to highlight the IMMACULATE sound design of this video. The attention to detail and the layering of the audio as well as mixing it all in a way that makes it perfectly natural is a true feat, and something that always goes underappreciated, so bravo to whoever was in charge of that!
