No matter how you look at it, Venator is simple; he's pretty much Warden + religious.

But his character is executed SO CLEANLY IN HIS VOICE ACTING! Seriously, they did wonders for this shit; it's outstanding how good the delivery and expression is.

Said it in a Lash video but I assume “Father Payne” is a reference to Sergio Benitez(a real Spanish Priest who took up Wrestling to fund the orphanage he started)

Venator looking at viscous like an npc giving him the quest to the next raid boss and hes just mashing A on his dialogue

Once Bebop gets his remodel I really want an animation of his 2nd interaction

I wonder if Bebop, at least in part, asked Venator to say a prayer because he wasn't sure it'd hold the same value if he did it himself. At some point, surely, he must've wondered: Do robots go to heaven? Do they even go to hell...?

The fact they didn't have venator point out the witch hunts were protestants was both completely understandable and a missed opportunity for a funny moment

Venator showing a professional amount of restraint when talking to Mina.
Even the one that sounded vaguely threatening comes off more like a parental figure correcting a child who doesn't know better.
Love that he sticks to his principles even in the face of such narcissistic brat behavior

I appreciate that he's not a subvresion for once. We've had near enough five decades of almost every priest in media being a lunatic, a hypocrite, or suffering from a crisis of faith

Always a big fan of the "I'm not religious... but just this once," character moment, in any story.

I love how Venator did confession for Ivy 😄

Father Payne. I wonder if he is like Fray Tormenta where he is actually a priest that moonlights as a wrestler in the Bear Pit, maybe not a Venator but at least a man of the cloth.
