It's a smart movie. No car crashes. No shootings. No 'what in hell was that?' stuff. You sit down. Shut up and watch great actors at the top of their craft. It's superb.

My favorite film of all time. A masterpiece. Should have won the academy award.

I was mesmerized by this movie when I saw it on TV as a little girl. In the last year, my millennial son watched it and had an equal reaction. He was so impressed he recently watched it with his 12 year old son who also liked it. I love character actors and this movie was a feast. Thanks for the back story. :)

First saw this as a child when i was maybe seven or eight back in 73. One of those films that no matter how long it has been or how old I am, if I run across it on TV, I'm watching and it is always fresh.

I first saw this when I was in my 20s. My dad, who ALWAYS went to bed before 11 pm, said he was going stay up to see a movie, and he convinced me to watch it with him. Man oh man ! I have probably seen it 20 times or more since then. One of the best ever !

It IS NOT POSSIBLE to make this any better.
The cast is sublime.

I went to law school many years ago while I was a full time cop. The professor in my criminal procedure class played this movie for my class. It left an impression on me that has lasted more than thirty years.

I’ve been loving this movie since I was a teenager - 68 now. I never miss it when it comes on TV.

Our Civics teacher played this film for us in 7th Grade and that was 55 years ago. I've probably watched it... maybe 50 times? So much wisdom and such incredible performances packed into one simple film. Sometimes it's just a pleasure to watch incredibly talented people do what they do - even when you know what's coming next!

Ive seen this film at least 70/ 80 times, and it never gets "stale", its always like the first time to me.
There is not a single second that is not simply riveting.
If i had directed, starred in or been connected in any way with this movie in my lifetime, i could go to my maker with a confident heart and a mind at peace that i had been involved in something so incredibly, uniquely beautiful and wonderful.
God bless all the talents involved, they have created a masterpiece of cinema that will genuinely live forever.
