I never used LUT and I am so happy with thia camera. Its light at the point that I carry with me everyday, and ready ti catch the moment everytime.

Welcome to the wonderful world of real time LUTS, Scott. I’ve found shooting raw + jpeg with a LUT applied gives me the best of both worlds. If I don’t like the jpeg output of an image, then I can process the raw file in any other style I want or apply the same style by importing the real time LUT into LR. Or I can transfer the jpeg image to the Lumix Lab app on my phone and modify the same LUT or apply a different LUT. There are lots of options! BTW, Ross’s “Summer” real time LUT is permanently loaded onto my S1RII. It’s so versatile.

Dear Scott!
I agree with every word. Currently, there is no universal camera, only specialized cameras, and they must be evaluated in their proper context. I don't edit photos. Nowadays, it almost doesn't matter what you shoot with, because with editing, anything is possible depending on your talent. I love instant reality, and I would like to have the world of old analog photos at a price that is affordable for me, which is why I am studying the S9 videos. Thank you!

Hi, first time viewer of your channel and a new subscriber. I am exactly the same as you. I have the Lumix S1Rii and it is very serious, big, and unwealdy. But I recently ordered (still waiting) for the S9 for the exact reasons you mentioned. The walkabout camera, the ability to have fun and just have it with you, the ease of taking photos without requiring editing. Thank you for sharing this video.

"a lot sooner" would be the accepted English haha. This is exactly why I fell in love with the s9, real time LUTs with low grain effect was ideal for just shooting instagram shots when out and about. I don't enjoy editing so if it is just casual photography I would rather just have a great result out of camera. Give me a mechanical shutter and it's perfect (I can live without EVF).

Thanks for the video. The best camera is the one you have with you and sometimes thats your iphone. On the first day of a vacation I went to grab some sunset photos. Turned out my battery was almost dead and I had inadvertently dropped my spare battery in the hotel room. So all I had was my iphone (iphone 6 at that time).

Since i got my s9, it really has changed how my prices goes. I also love post processing, but i no longer need to. Also this is my first cavers which connected smoothly with the phone, again reducing the need to copy to laptop and process.

By far the most fun camera I've ever used. It definitely feels a little limiting with no evf or front dial but it's okay. I love it. I'll get the updated version when they make it.

I know what you mean about only grabbing the S1RII. It’s probably the best camera I’ve ever used and the colours are phenomenal. 8/10 times I’m picking it up over anything else I own. I’ve been tempted to get a S9 as a B cam (totally unnecessary, as I don’t upload my videos anywhere), but I think I’m going to hold out until something else small comes from LUMIX.
