Hey! I have an A7III as my main and I’m looking to get an EDC. Would you recommend this or the Fujifilm X-M5? I’m wanting max portability but wondering if the APSC is worth it for the extra portability or not.

Isn't the half press function just enabled in the menu? Then it will take a photo even when half pressing, I believe....

Just upgraded to one from my Canon m50 mkII. I loved my old camera, but the deprecated mount started making it harder to find smaller EF-M lenses that were not discontinued and I hated how Canon started blocking 3rd party manufactures on the RF mount so I knew I had to switch camps. I had long been fascinated by Fujifilm for their fun retro designs and film styles baked in, but I also really wanted to get experience with a FF sensor after spending the last 5-6 years only shooting on APS-C sensors. Then I stumbled upon a video talking about viltrox joining the L mount alliance. I liked Viltrox’s lenses so I watched the video and learned that Sigma and Leica were also members. I had only heard of LUMIX from James Popsys so I knew practically nothing of the brand going into it. But after some research I was blown away by the features it offers. The LUTs and the fun color ways of the S9 were the final factors that sealed the deal for me.

11:11 man you finger must made by steel, how can you miss the half button, it is not easy to press all the way. Your camera button must be faulty.

Great video! There is a few things there is a setting in the menus to fix the sensitvity on the shutter button, you use creative video combine set so when you switch to video & photo it will keep the color profile settings seperate (you can also keep ISO, WB, Aperture all seperate too) so you can be in VLOG in video, and in custom profile for photo mode! tip: you can set the opacity of a LUT when you set up a photo style, as well as layering two one over another, besides having more fine control over white balance and other things. also the LUT is applied just on the jpeg, the raw will stay fine. some Lumix Lab luts need fine tunning because they're made by people who live in sunnier or cloudier areas and other similar differences, but setting up a dedicated photo style for each will help with this.

I just got an S9 and it's pretty impressive that for the price you get a full frame, 6K, 10bit, open gate camera with a big 6 menu, waveform and shutter angle as an option!! They could've left out half of that stuff out and push people to the S5 II, but they give it to you!

Great wee camera!

As an S5II user, the S9 is clutch when I don’t feel like traveling with a ton of kit. Sigma Contemporary line fits this compact camera so well. The 45mm 2.8 lives on mine. I also appreciate how quickly you can get solid footage over to my phone for socials.

there is an annoying setting that half press shutter will take the photo you have to turn that setting off. I was like why is it when i softly press my S9 it would take a photo but then I realized that setting was enabled. Hope that helps

My S9 basically collects dust or is a b cam for my s5ii.
 For every day walking I either choose my X100v if I want the built-in flash old school vibe or my a7cr for when I want serious Raw images to work with. I would not recommend the s9 for that person that can only afford one camera.
