No one on this earth will ever comprehend what it feels like to love a channel as much as I love it. And everyone in this room will die
never feeling the strength of connection I have felt with this YT channel.

"New book I'm working on. I don't have to drink!"

...."yeah but like, now we do. Forever."

The cutesy way they looked at each other at the end after she made a similar wish stayed with me because it was both funny and tragic at the same time.

Bear was the one that was obsessed ....the entire time .

He's obsessed with her; he sees her suffering but wants her to be with him. I liked the ending.

Inde Navarrette was amazing; she deserves an Oscar.
But I also have to give credit to the actor who played Bear. I grew to hate him more and more as the film went on. The guy shies away from any risk, and whenever things escalate, whether friends are in trouble or even his great love, he looks the other way. Because it’s more convenient, and because he obviously doesn't care. He realized pretty quickly that Nikki was trapped in her own body, yet he abused her anyway.
And what did he ultimately do? He tried to get rid of the real Nikki by trying to "alter" his wish. If that had been possible, he would have lived with a mindless doll that acted exactly the way he wanted. As long as she fit his fantasy and the construct in his head, that was all that mattered.
He didn't even react when Sahra was killed. In the end, he didn't take his own life to help Nikki, but because he couldn't bear the consequences of his actions anymore. Disgusting coward - great actor.

As for the horror genre itself: for me, this is the only kind that works. I really struggle to take splatter, monster, or body horror seriously. Most of them work for me only up until the moment I actually see the monster. Blood and gore don't affect me either. But psychological horror, the dark side of human nature is what truly scares me.I kept thinking about Obsession for days afterwards.

24:54 "that rug really tied the room together"

Somehow this is the funniest thing I've heard from a reaction to this scene 🤣

One of the best reactions to this movie on Youtube. Love you guys and your dynamics. 😄

Nice job catching the trivia question!

13:27 holy foreshadow Batman!

So there is good news and bad news x2 for that ending.

Good news: I've seen comments and theories that wish Nikki and normal Nikki are 2 separate beings so normal Nikki still should have a wish.  And even if she doesn't she could take some of Ian's money and pay someone to make a wish for her.

The bad news:  she would need to hurry.  The cops are more than likely minutes away.

Even more bad news: According to the OWW website, resurrection,  time manipulation, immortality, and wishes for multiple OWW's will NOT work.  So Nikki would need to word her wish VERY carefully.

36:06 “ I hate poetry” 😂

I’ve never seen anyone laugh this much while watching this movie and I’ve watched a ton of reactions.

"Not on the rug. That rug really tied the room together."

I'm wheezing 😂

It was more than “just a few hours” when Bear went to work while demon Nicki waited.  Bear went and presumably worked a full work day, probably ran those errands he said he had to run, and then dropped Ian off before going back to his place.  It went from morning to night time.  Several hours passed, not just a few.  Bear was probably gone for at least 9 hours, which makes Nicky standing there the whole time that much crazier

I've watched dozens of reactions to this movie and yours is one of the best I've seen.  I feel like you gave the movie its proper respect.

Inde Navarette (Nikki) was so phenomenal.  Glad you gave her her flowers.

New subscriber here.  Well done.

It wasn't Ian's fault, Bear has known Nikki for 7 yrs   he's had all that time to shoot his shot.Ian and Nikki  were hooking up SUPER casually  he wasn't  stopping him, some people think he was trying to sabotage him but if he wanted to do that all he had to do was tell him about him and Nikki

The director, Curry Barker, has said in interviews that this isn’t like some demonic posession but rather a spell (hence all the voodoo around the wish stick) that makes her behave this way 😅 That’s even crazier because the whole movie you think something is going to happen like a horror trope, it doesn’t do what you think would follow 😂 I really enjoyed this film. Great insights from you guys after the movie. Love watching reaction videos

Very good reaction you two and the guy saying he hates poetry was funny.

I love that Nikki made a wish that Bear would love her the same as she loved him. Which ironically got him killed because he was just about to throw up the pills he had taken. The last amazing twist which almost never happened the original ending had Bear actually ODing in the bathroom but Michael Johnstone thought that was a redemption arc that his character didn't deserve he told Curry and they filmed a last take that had him try and throw it up and Nikki when coming back saw what had happened and shot herself in the head... in this case the studio asked to do an ending that she didn't do that which is the one that you see... and it turned out to be way more devastating. Curry Barker (Writer / Director / Editor) is a you tuber his channel is "That's a bad idea" He has amazing vision and excellent Directing and Editing capabilities, he also listens to input from the Actors and Crew. Also Curry and Inde both confirmed that Bear did have a shot, if he had just been honest at the start. People get confused when Ian tells his Friendzone story but firstly, you can't trust anything Ian says... his motives are not pure and if you listen carefully to the dialog that is being said it shows that she was ready to give Bear a chance if only he had been courageous. In the car she said things like "You're not a complete brick wall" like Ian... she wasn't feeling love because she was just hooking up... etc... but Bear f'd it up so Nikki being Nikki was done. Then the snap and boom... If you haven't already you should definitely rewatch... the actual script choices are incredible and so subtle that virtually every reactor misses them on first watch. Curry's layered social commentary is amazing and so NOT Hollywood Push this in your face. True cinema. It is all about things that rarely get brought up... particularly SA, and all other types of abuse in disfunctional relationships neatly served up through a psychological horror lens..
This film was made in 2024 shot in three weeks on a $750K budget...
