It’s also so crazy that cars have now become 10-15 years old are still above £3000😭

3:40 cars to actually buy.

Please do the same for automatics under £10k

I have a 2007 Legend and my wife a 2005 Civic 1.6 both with torque converter boxes, both well under £5k, totally reliable year after year.

My honda civic 2005 1.6 auto is still going strong after 16 years of ownership.

If under £5k and auto, I would only buy Japanese. Mainly Lexus/Toyota. Have owned many various Toyota/Lexus cars, currently have a 2006 Toyota Crown Majesta with 6spd Auto and 4.3 3UZ V8. Under £5k with 90k miles...spec is actually mad, and at this mileage, it's barely run in!

Can someone send a formal list at the bottom of the video 🤣

Great video! It would be awesome to see a "best cars under £5k for new drivers over 25" guide. A lot of typical budget recommendations (like the Prius) end up having crazy high insurance quotes for newly licensed drivers regardless of age.

Suzuki ,doesn’t know how to go wrong.

I bought a fabulous  Skoda Superb 2015 with 58 k on the clock DSG  auto box .  At 64 k the dual mass flywheel  started  to give up. Took it to a transmission  shop ,look inside the mechanic  showed me a garage full of Audi VW  auto's Inc Skoda  auto's all with the same issues. I didn't know this DSG  box was such a problem.I believe they sorted it from 2017 onwards models

This dude is an absolute legend 💪💪💪

Not just cars under 5k I would suggest any car no matter how old a torque converter box
is the way to go., also a decent sized 4 pot engine not a 3 pot that's turbo charged to within
an inch of it's life.

I purchased a Merc. C220 cdi (2.1) auto. (2008) Berevement car that sat in garage for a while, £4,750 in 2021. Wax oiled chasis, Changed air, coolant, engine, fuel and gearbox oil when i got it. (80,000miles) hasn't missed a beat and now 168000.. just changed gesrbox oil . Best car ive ever had.. no payments!! If it died tommorow i couldn't grumble
Jist passed mot and the inspector said to me "nice car"...

Fancy having a Ford with a Powershift gearbox and Ecoboost engine with a wet belt…….

I am disabled and can only drive auto.
This is some great info.
Thank you ☺️

As someone who owns both a Honda Accord auto and a Lexus IS250, I approve of this message 🙂

Can you do a video on the most reliable automatic and manual wheelchair accessible vehicles? Like the citroën Berlingo, Peugeot partner tepee, Renault kangoo, fiat doblo, nissan qubo....

I had a used 2005 CVT Jazz with some kind of a mechanical clutch and it was fine, but it suffered from that judder immediately after starting to drive. The local Honda dealer here in Finland fixed it with new parts with zero cost due to manufacturers extended warranty. Then i bought a brand new Jazz 2011 and it had again cvt, but it came with a traditional hydraulic torque convertor and it was absolutely fine with no issues never.

Worth mentioning...whatever an OEM "RECOMMNEDS" in regards time/mileage to change timing/cam belt, tensioners, pulleys, water pump, there is NO warranty cover (wear'n'tear items) if they let go much earlier and ruin the engine...maybe some goodwill depending on SH, etc, don't bank on it.
The generation of Swift you mention has a horrendous repair cost if the bumper is even slightly damaged, enough to write of the car, if via an insurance company claim. Cheers.

Agree with you on the VAG dry 7 speed boxes, had one on a Golf 1.4TSI....... had 2 clutch packs and a flywheel under warranty and it was still problematic.  Got shot of the car before the warranty expired.
