The history of the Imperium is full of achievements. The Great Crusade, the Horus Heresy, the Long War, and the Fall of Cadia are milestones written in the blood of trillions of people over ten thousand years. But these campaigns are far from a complete list of those stormy years when the fate of the Imperium hung in the balance, and a single touch would have sufficed to plunge it into the abyss. Once, even before ascending the Golden Throne, the Master of Mankind put one of the greatest empires in the galaxy to the sword. Archival records refer to this victory as the triumph at Ullanor. Perhaps it seemed then that this victory would spell the end of the greenskins as a mighty race, that the Orks would never be able to recover from the blow dealt them. Well, some hopes were destined to be dashed—for the Beast came and shattered them like a morning dream.
