Finally rid myself of a 3/4yr burden. Had pneumonia - the night before I went to hospital told me to basically be in pain quieter so he could sleep. Next day drive myself to the hospital - went into the hospital while he sat in the passenger seat watching basketball. I get out tell him what was wrong - nothing. Got angry with me when I slammed the car door having to immediately get groceries after hospital while he sat in the car watching sports. If I ever said no to sex - he got angry. And the whole ‘I didn’t finish so you owe me’ is real. I had to fight to get him to realise the damage he was doing to me internally. But didn’t stop him expecting it. Always dismissed - my opinion never mattered - talked about himself for hours every conversation was an hour long lecture and would get visibly angry if I had anything to say even when I agreed with him. And get this - I made more money - paid more bills - covered his ass while he impulses bought anything he wanted. I had 3kids he had 2. I was a single mother raising 5 kids and a man child with an ego bigger than his d!ck. So so many more misogynistic material but I think I made my point.
I’ve given up on men as a whole.

In Spain the new law is ONLY YES IS YES...consent must be active and not passive. A unconscious person can't say no, an asleep person can't say no...the lack of a negative is not a positive.

Most of them don’t see us as human beings, and they really expect us to care that they’re lonely when they’re just facing consequences for their actions.

As women, I think that we need to study the research that has been done for decades in the fields of sociology, political science, and history around the world. Academic research on topics such as patriarchy, misogyny, and sexism is extensive internationally. We need gender literacy to understand social dynamics from a more in-depth perspective. Let's read about these topics whether alone, with our friends, with our daughters, granddaughters, nieces, sisters, mothers. Let's stay aware. Every time a man tries to deny gender oppression, they say that women are resentful and projecting when in fact there is countless academic research on gender oppression, Besides the historical facts that speak for themselves. Don't let any man gaslight you.

I went on a cruise to Greece with someone I was dating for about 6 months. I realized that I was always asking him questions about his life, thoughts and feelings and he never asked me anything about me. I asked him why and if he was even interested in getting to know me. He told me that he lives in the moment and isn't interested in my past or what my deep thoughts are. This conversation happens a week into a two week cruise. I dumped him on the spot and moved to another room. He was so angry at me for leaving and couldn't understand why I ended it. I was just a vessel for him to enter, he had no desire to know me as a person. Also, we both paid our own way, just in case any men want to come at me.

I’ve even told my brothers to try to look at women as a human, aka a man. It didn’t help. They need to hear it from other men unfortunately… They don’t listen to us objects.

I was a young women in the mid 2000s and the visual misogyny was bad enough then. I didn't expect it to become worse. I didn't expect them to say the quiet part out loud.
