Reaction to a highly popular 80's movie! A DELIGHTFUL AND SPOOKY COMEDY CLASSIC! Beetlejuice (1988) Reaction, Recap, Review! Join Pete and Byron as they watch a beloved classic from the great mind of Tim Burton. After Barbara (Geena Davis) and Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin) die in a car accident, they find themselves stuck haunting their country residence, unable to leave the house. When the unbearable Deetzes (Catherine O'Hara, Jeffrey Jones) and teen daughter Lydia (Winona Ryder) buy the home, the Maitlands attempt to scare them away without success. Their efforts attract Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton), a rambunctious spirit whose help quickly becomes dangerous for the Maitlands and innocent Lydia. A bit odd and bizarre, this movie really hits home for a lot of us who were children watching this when it first came out. Tim Burton's creativity and artistic vision had gained prominence once Beetlejuice had released, and his style of filmmaking truly continues to inspire the imagination. Michael Keaton, who plays the titular character, is only on screen for a total of 17 minutes, yet his performance absolutely and rightfully steals the show.
