ok so i'll explain why: 1. it's super weird, and it has a halloween vibe that i immediately fell in love with. 2. the songs are amazing, super cool and fun. 3. i love the gameplay, it's SO satisfying to play, and i easily got perfect on sneezy moon 2 just because it's perfect for me! and 4. the moon. just, the moon. the best character in all of rhythm heaven. i love that stupid ragebaiter
I can almost agree that Can Do 1 is mediocre, but Can Do 2 is probably my favorite in the whole game. The song is a banger, and even without any new cues, the way it flows is so fun and satisfying.
Favorite for me is Slice N Dice Kitchen for sure. I don't know which is my least favorite yet as I feel like there are more lows in this game than usual, but I'll wait until I perfect everything because I'm sure my opinion on many of them will change.
Just a side note - It's hard to justify an English translation for the songs when the music team clearly wanted to represent multiple languages. Making an English patch kinda ruins that vision. So yea, I miss "HEY NOW HERE IS MY SONG" but there's also something really unique about hearing French in this game that helps it stand out from the rest of the series.
I like the car game (both versions) a lot. The sound of the accelerating car (👈 👈 3 2 1 Go) has been stuck in my head for the last 2 weeks haha. I enjoy the moment in the second game where the screen goes black and then the cue appears in huge text on the screen, it's just funny to me. And yes, it's slower and easier than some of the others but I'm not great at Rhythm Heaven so I appreciate it!
Backup Spotlight is such a based #1 take. MMM-PA MMM-PA THREE TWO ONE STOP. And I love sneezy moon 2 as well because the music is so good I can’t Edit: my new favorite is Spirit Slasher 2
syncro wings got to be the most doomed by circumstance ggame like if it only had a little bit more details like a reference and the literal last new minigame it would be a lot more popular than it is
I like Lightning Bolting but wish it had an actual background. Not that I'd be seeing it when I play. But it still feels empty. I dislike Crab Snacks because I can't hear the cue for the mangosteen. Some of the games have poor sound mixing, I feel.
I feel like a tourist falling for a tourist trap when I say this but I still love ‘feed the beast’ (haven’t played them all) but it’s still just so cute and fun for a normy to the rhythm games like me🙂↕️
8:44 if i had to guess, plastic bottles (PET bottles) in japan are called "petto botoru" and "petto" sounds like how you would say "pet" and the bottle is like a little pet of yours xd. the game in japanese is called "PET nawatobi" (PET jump rope).
i really would've loved if disc dog 2 had a second cue with the little puppy on the left, or a faster tempo. i liked the off beats with the cogs in the background, but i found the minigame disappointing as a whole. my actually least favorite minigame is probably high-five fever. i just can't stand the character designs and i don't like the audio cues (i hate that one is 1-2-3 and one is 3-2-1, and i keep hearing "check em out!" as "jack em off!" LOL)
my absolutely favorite minigames are both soda hops and alien alphabet 1!! i don't think i've ever been distracted by the playable character themselves before, but i have to look away during soda hop because the little bottle is too adorable. alien alphabet 1 is my favorite instrumental track in the whole game
Space Sentry 2 is the absolute best in every way for me. The music is great, the sound cues are catchy, and there are even some tricky challenging timings. It's so good!
You did Can Do so dirty :( My impression of it was the complete opposite. I found the hammer windup thing to be really satisfying and the timing was immediately intuitive to me. But the thing I like the most about it is the music - Groove has a few unremarkable songs, but this isn't one of those. It's just such a strong and catchy melody. My only complaints is I wish there were more cues and more interesting visuals that's not just 70% wall.
