Great stuff. I was looking forward to the 'windscreen for a Ford Anglia' joke, but it wasn't to be.

Hi Lucy and your butler, Mike Harding a folk singer and comedian from Rochdale , Lancashire - near Manchester. Mike is brilliant, funny and there is a lot of material over the years. I think he would appeal to you. Enjoy. ....try his many TV shows and stage shows plus especially...TheRed Specs Album 😁

I was in England way back when about 2003/4 and saw Jethro in a theater in a place called Oklahampton. It was real funny a great night out I thought maybe Jethro had American connections in his family with his way of saying certain words but anyway RIP Jethro

Les Dawson wasn't a stand-up comedian in the accepted sense. He had a melancholic demeanour and told equally melancholic tales that were often dry and very funny in a northern English style. A part of his act was to play the piano in a singalong, but play it littered with bum notes everywhere. But to play the piano that 'badly' showed what a good piano player he actually was.

Back in the day we went down to Jethro's club in Lewdown, never cried so much in my life. After the show the daft bugger continued while he poured pints in the bar.
