All footage of FX5 were shot in XOCN-DGO mode if not specified.
I did not use filters for exposure control.
Arri Alexa Mini and Red Komodo were using Arri Masterprimes 35MM
FX5 was using DZO Vespid 2 50MM
All tests were done around f/8 if I can(excluding night shots, obviously).
I have to say the FX5 is a really exciting camera. My anticipations were high to a level that i thought SONY wouldn`t bother to deliver. However, they did.
I did these tests as soon as i got my hands on the camera, because I want to know if what I anticipated were true. It was a bit rushed, because I wanted to see the results fast. And i wanted to keep improving test parameters for these real-world tests. So I welcome your input and opinions.

You mentioned CineEI as a strategy for exposing but didn’t want to elaborate, I’d actually really like for you to test and document this as I think this would be incredibly beneficial. I plan on shooting mostly Dual Gain and using CineEI 3200 based on what I’m seeing so far. What I’d love to test and see is changing ISO 800 to 3200 in post to see what gamma curve is being utilized to shift the dynamic range and if creating your own curve to lift shadows and middle grey while preserving the highlights produces better results.
