I'm a +3 handicap golfer, but that definitely doesn't mean I hit every fairway, stripe every iron or hole every putt. I hit bad shots all the time.

But there are certain things you'll almost NEVER see me do on a golf course. And actually, I think these are a much bigger reason why I've got to +3 than being able to hit a golf ball particularly well.

So today, I'm going to show you six things I never do on the golf course — and I'm going to play a few holes to show you exactly what I do instead.

I can apply a bit of everything to myself, not every game but certainly some games where a player gets an aggressive attitude trying to… Score. Especially on par fives where it’s 240 yards out for the second shot and you’re going for the green on the second shot. Pull out the three wood and hit the ball a little right and enter deep grass or the woods or to the right into a sand trap or hit a tree and deflect down to an almost impossible shot to get to the green and three. Used to just hit a number four hybrid for the second shot or even a six iron and then use the next short shot to get on the green I used to get par a lot more often. Last couple of games I tried that and it worked just like you say go with breaking the hole down more. Everything in this video is spot on

I do aimpoint as well, but instead of triangulating i turn 90deg to the putt on the low side half way in the putt and take a reading uphill/ downhill. I think i will try what you suggested on Saturday and see how I get on. Thanks for that Hannah! Another super informative video 🎉🎉

Confidence is a huge contributor to my scores. If I have to hit a fade, I have to hit my 3 wood as I prefer to draw as well. I love my 18 degree 2 iron. I hit it 210m carry on a calm day, but I can also hit it 180m carry into a 35kmh headwind or up to 265m with rollout with a 35kmh downwind.

Thanks for the video, the mental game is just as important as the swing, something we overlook most kf the time, my biggest mistake is trying to use the driver whenever possible, i should use the 3 wood or hybrid on certain hole's. I also try the hero shot to many times.
