Drinking strong cider whilst sitting on a park bench. It brings a tear to my eye. You truly are becoming British. Go on, shout at some pigeons incoherently.

Mate, you are practically British at this point - you even moaned about the heat and the trains. The whole of the UK and public drinkers across the land welcome you as a brother.

To any other American's visiting. If you come to Brighton try to stay overnight, firstly its one of the busiest/liveliest night cities in the country (besides London) plus you need 2 days here or maybe 3 if you use Brighton as a base and go see some surrounding areas. Brighton town centre is cool but do as many of these areas as you have time for:

North Laines/Preston Park (shopping, food, drink, open space at the park)
Brighton Marina (walk from the area of the seafront that was being filmed and walk East towards the Marina, lots of life that way, crazy golf, bars, little food huts, volleyball, quieter beaches, a little retro electric train can take you along or you can walk). Then once at the Marina you can eat/drink overlooking the boats or just take a nice walk around
Hove Lagoon (Skate park, water sports, nice cafe - could walk going West from where this filming was in about 20-30 minutes and its a beautiful walk along the promenade)
Hove Park - nice but similar to Preston Park so do one or the other
Devils Dyke - to see the greenery you pass on the train on the way in

Quick train to Lewes (about 15 minutes) to see some very quaint old buildings plus a little castle, or Arundel Castle about 30 minutes by train if you want to see a proper one

So much to do. Brighton is a 2-3 day visit if you can

Americans usually laugh at Brits when we say it is hot at 30 degrees C.  It is a differenet sort of heat.

Sat on a park bench drinking strong cider. Living like a native. Edit: Already progressed to ranting about the trains. Time to apply for a UK passport.

Great vid.
Your moaning about the weather and trains is spot on. You're practically British at this point. 😆

Go on son!! Henry Westons Vintage cider, pint cans of San Miguel, and fish n chips in Brighton. I'm so proud. Glad to see you are having a wicked time. You are one of us, mate 🥰🤩👌👊

just an observation....i remember your very first trip to the uk......i remember you were "a bag of nerves" as we say over here....i got the impression, you were a bit overwhelmed by the culture shock....but...seeing you today....totally chilled out, confident, and relaxed was great to see....

Should have gone to Bournemouth if you wanted sand . We do have some amazing sandy beaches in the UK

Becoming more and more British we love a good moan . Great to see your travelling Joel enjoy 😊

Doesn't get any more British than public drinking in a park! Proud of you! It isn't chavvy if it isn't white cider!

The Lanes.. happy memories.

Moved from Brighton to Scotland 2 years ago and this has made me miss it so much. Lived there for 30 years, it's a great place

We do have sandy beaches, too! Weymouth is reported to have the finest sand in the world!

Strong cider on a park bench
Paying too much for food near the sea
Seeing a drunk man smash a pint glass in the road
Shit trains.

This is the proper British life

Oh my God! You were in Brighton on a Friday and you didn't stay for the whole night! It is probably the most famous 'party town' in the UK, only it has so much life and diversity and it isn't all about clubbing but also hanging on the beach all through the night. You don't even need a hostel in this weather because hundreds of people just chill on the beach, maybe with a little fire or something. Only Friday and Saturday nights are guaranteed to be like this!

00:36 "yeah the flight wasn't too bad, Ryaniar kinda always feel like you might die but..." You crack me up Joel😂😂 Glad you had as great time bro !!

Yes! Chips, ‘Spoons, drinking in public….he’s truly one of us now 🇬🇧😍

I love your videos, watching someone from outside the uk explore is really fun 😂

Oh wow, Brighton…the city of REN and The Big Push. I was there last year and it was cold (for summer!)
