How to Make Spectacular Spider-Man Season 3

What would The Spectacular Spider-Man Season 3 look like if it was finally made in 2026?

In this video, I pitch my ideal continuation of The Spectacular Spider-Man, picking up after Season 2 while also addressing Peter Parker’s appearance in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Rather than turning the show into a multiverse story, I think Season 3 should stay focused on what made Spectacular so good in the first place: Peter’s personal life, his friendships, his relationships and the criminal underworld all crashing into each other.

My version of Season 3 would make Hobgoblin the main villain but with a twist. Roderick Kingsley appears to be the obvious suspect after building a black-market serum business in the power vacuum left behind after Season 2, while Mister Negative begins moving against him. But the real Hobgoblin is Harry Osborn, whose grief over Norman’s apparent death, the loss of Oscorp, his relationship with Gwen and his return to 'Globulin' (I can totally say that word) Green send him down a darker path.

I also break down how Peter and Gwen should finally get together, how Martin Li could take control of Oscorp, how Kingsley could become one of New York’s biggest criminal players, and how Norman Osborn’s eventual return could set up an even bigger Season 4.

If Spectacular Spider-Man ever returned, this is how I’d continue the story.

Only Sony can bring back Spectacular Spider-Man the show has to be at least 45 minutes in length though

Venom and Carnage would go with them being the main spotlights of Season 4, the end of season 3 teases them while then for Season 5 at the end of final episode Green Goblin is revealed to be back watching the scene and dropping a line of his then laughing

My only problem with Harry’s story is that by the end of season 2, he’s still a minor. The board of directors wouldn’t give Harry the company. Either it would go to Donald Menken or Emily Osborn.

As much as I would like a Spectacular Spider-Man Season 3, I have a feeling it's more likely we will get Spider-Man '98 to be greenlit instead.... unless the impossible is made

HOLD UP NOW. LET HIM COOK! Introducing Harry as the Hobgoblin, forcing Peter to have to protect Harry after finding out it's him, and teasing a future story with Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady! HELL YEAH! XD
Man, in an era where our favorite classic cartoons are coming back, I wish they could revive this series. If Disney had the rights to Spectacular, they can do what they're doing with Phineas and Ferb. They can air season 3 on Disney Channel and then put it on Disney Plus the day after. We could be getting new episodes of this classic masterpiece alongside YFNSM. 😔

The thing is Sony lost the TV rights, but they still have the Spectacular spiderman rights, but the problem is they can't renew cus they don't have the TV right, so if Disney comes in and says here we will pay u 50M for the rights, then season 3 might be on the card, but don't think anything will happen, cus they can just make any show since Disney has the TV rights,

I want no crossover in this universe of spidey
As it would make things complicated as for where they were before

I mean gaurdians etc make sense as they are in space but dont introduce avengers for this time only

The problem with trying to portray Harry sympathetically is, as I remember, from his spying on them, he knows Gwen loves Peter not him, he knows she wanted to leave him and be with Peter and is guilting her into staying with him, essentially to hurt both of them and that... is vile. It was vile back then, I'd say as these kind things are viewed more critically now he would be viewed as even more despicable in this day and age. He has lost his father yes, but at least in my view his unsympathetic actions outweigh the sympathy that could give, particularly if he did start using the Green again as you suggest, because he is trapping Gwen in a loveless relationship on the premise that she is keeping him off the green, while secretly taking it behind her back so even the slight good she might feel she is doing is a lie. It would make him as bad, if not worse than Norman.

Frankly, I've always thought that Gwen and Harry's storyline this season 3 would be more similar to Sins Past, but better: In that Harry ends up manipulating and controlling Gwen so much that she really starts to be influenced by Osborn's evil ways, even thinking that Peter is a scoundrel who uses women (which is somewhat true because of what he did to Liz Allan) and now with MJ. Watching the series, Harry was selfish and played the victim, thinking the world owed him something. And this Gwen is fragile and insecure. (Just like Smallville made Lex Luthor marry weak Lana Lang with deception and mind games)
And ironically Harry would be manipulated by his therapist Bart Hamilton, and his mother Emily Osborn who is alive in this show as well.

And the villain would be Miles Warren, Kingsley is a perfume CEO here.

Wait isn’t Harry’s mom still alive wouldn’t she be running the company instead of Harry aka a child I mean i guess she can sell it or something (I don’t blame you for forgetting her no one remembers she never said a single word at all I don’t even think she had a voice actor)
