I’m glad to see someone is doing character analysis of ultimate Spider-Man. The show may not be perfect, but there are a lot of good elements in it.

I feel that THIS Norman actually has a better redemption compared to the comic version who just has his sins erased by a magic bullet.

When Norman turns into Goblin, he reveals his true motive. He says he like this new form as its his "evolved" form and that he refuses to go back to being a mere small and weak mortal jealous of spiderman. That's his motive, he has some sort of inferiority complex about being a mere human in world full of super heroes, mutants, magicians etc...and tries to compensate by making his own spider people to be unbeatable and feel himself superior by controlling the source of his inferiority complex. That's why he later goes on his quest to collect spider people DNA across multiverse to inject it on himself, to further "evolve" from his human condition.

I know this show isn't everyone's favorite but Goblin was a really fun villain. He's kinda like The Batman's Joker. Drastically different aesthetic, but spiritually still the classic character.

If anything remains consistent in Spider-Man media is Otto's hate for Norman, and rightfully so.

This is what I grew up on. Tobey’s Spiderman Green Goblin, and Ultimate Green Gobin, which is the BEST villian, hands down. No one can’t convince me

Otto to sum it up was overestimating his control over the goblin.

"If i had a nickel for everytime that happened i would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice."

I like in the fight where green goblin takes out everyone Spider-Man goes crazy and starts overpowering goblin even tho he took out characters like Luke easily

11:33 indeed, the fact Norman litterally enslaved & left to die twice Otto & yet, he expects Octopus to be pleased & greatful to him, Norman truly thinks everyone should feel proud about having him close, this is specially noticeable when he & Iron Man interact each other

I LOVE this version of the Green Goblin. I know that it’s not a one to one version of 616 or Ultimate Goblin, but he is still an interesting character and both his design and personality are great. Right from the start, the show establishes Norman as a scumbag and the serum only reveals what he already was on the inside but now also on the outside! He is so greedy for power, and in his hubris he got turned into a hulking beast. I also really liked the journey he went on throughout the entire show!

My favorite gag was late in the show after Norman is back to normal again. Peter was hanging out with Harry playing this snowboarding video game & Norman started playing and was insanely good at the game, since he had all the muscle memory using the Goblin Glider

I love 90s and spectacular.

Ultimate Spider-Man show Norman doesn't have a god complex like his Ultimate comic self. I think he he does love Harry, but not as much as he should.

When he became Green Goblin, he acted similar to his comic version. The alternate Goblin with Miles was way more like his Ultimate comic version with wanting to kill all Spider-Men.

Bro he is VILE, but you're going to really understand this in the spiderverse saga

Both OG Ultimate Marvel and Ultimate Spider-Man Green Goblin are DEVILS.

I love that there was a comic book panel I remember reading, where it was Norman finding out Uncle Ben's saying "Where Great Power, comes Great responsibility." He tells Peter that his Uncle was wrong and instead it's "With Great Power, comes Great Control."

I honestly like how this brutish Goblin steals his tech from shield. Like he's corrupting the good guy stuff and making it evil.

Usually when I see people talk about Ultimate Spider man' Green Goblin, people usually talk about how they don't see the green goblin, but a completely different character entirely.

But personally I like this iteration, it fits pretty well the archetype of villains like Vilgax or Thanos, villains that pose both intelectual, as well as physical threat to the protagonist

Watching this show as a kid, I never realise how messed up he actually is💀

Ultimate Spider-Man S1 finale was great. Spider-Man fighting against Goblin and Venom while SHIELD Helicarrier was sinking, peak!!

Ultimate's Green Goblin was really a Manace. Ultimate Spiderman is overhated.
