Deffo NOT, what a mess, and I wouldn't sleep in that bed, all the stains on the matress and the matress cover, disgusting. I'd want a full refund.

There is no excuse for the mattress protector to not be changed with the sheets. That comes off you know!! Angin.

No I would be worried that if it rained the roof would come in

It's like Britannia at their worst! Rather stay at The Norbreck. Bargain or not, I wouldn't stay in a room with a damp problem.

I reckon that bed would be painful to sleep in and it didn't look very errrr fresh. No wonder Mary wouldn't test it out! If the ceiling had a dry stain it wouldn't bother me too much, but the place was obviously damp. I wouldn't have stayed in that room and I understand why you left. I appreciate that you will always point out all the positives of a place, even if you can't stay. Keep being you x❤

I stayed in that room a couple of years ago and it was a lot better then but nothing seems to have been done to it

I stayed there a number of years ago, might have been 2018, the carpet at the time was trippy...looked 3D if you were drunk. Only good thing about the hotel.

Its a shame, i know alot of people ❤ this hotel but happy to hear there are plans to knocking it down and re building it ❤

32 quid to sleep in a filthy bed. Throw a few bed bugs in and it would be a better bargain. Absolutely no excuse. Gross

My hubby was on leave when we lived caterham went to lyndenne was lovely staff food i think it was mr and mrs young 1990 what a change x

The empty site next door was where the St Chad's Hotel stood. It was apparently owned by the same guy who plans to have the Lyndene demolished as well and build a fantastic new hotel across both sites. This info was said in a video of the demolition of the St Chad's Hotel about two years ago. So my guess is he won't be investing in repairs to the Lyndene and why it is as it is.

Russ just wanna say thanks so much  again for your videos this year. You are funny, crazy and mad😂😂 You make me smile so much that sometimes my mouth hurts after watching your videos. Your bed tests are fab and when you are outside your hair has a mjnd of its own😂😂, dont get it cut seeing you trying to tame it is hilarious.  Mary what can I say ...bless her. Shes no Spring Chicken...shes 94 ya know!!! Hope to see her more next year😂😂 .Deep down you are a genuine, honest, lovely man. We are lucky we stay in either Vinnies or Travelodge South Pier, but there are times we walked passed places and thought "Wonder whats like there". But your reviews really help people.  A few we have gone passed now and thought  Nope Russ been there not good or yeh he said this was ok. So defo helpful . You never know you may have to go in disguise a bit next year you'll be known😂😂. Hey you just tell it like it is!! You are one my Fave YouTubers.  You know TGLs are my ultimate. Great guys, but think you ok with that  as they are your mates😂😂 between youse both (excuse my scouse accent)😂😂. You have both cheered me up so much this year and to think  I never even bothered with YouTube last year!!! January is a Shit month but this year is different, I'm looking forward to seeing yours and TGLs videos so much. Like you said we only have one life weve got to make most of it and I love having a good laugh and banter!!!

Anyway Russ hope and you Adam have a Fantastic Christmas snd wish you both every happiness in 2026. Really sorry for long comment.  Russ you are a great guy and I love ya❤❤ Take care

Only one thing left to say UP THE TOFFEES 😂😂

Did you ask for another room? Stayed here last year in a twin room with my mum. Room was fine but the bathroom was tiny. Had to sit on the loo sideways. 😂. Food was good and entertainment too.

Rumour has itthat the hotel is due for demolition ,unlikely to have any refurb if true, the old adage, you get what you pay for.

That's shocking letting a room like that to the public with damp on the walls anyone with poorly lungs would have been really ill sleeping in there I think you should have a full refund and a free stay in a premier room I will cross that place off my list.

Omg the mattress!!!!

I went there around 2010 and it was brillient.

Stayed  at the Lyndene Xmas 2024 food was awful! Ran out of Turkey Xmas lunch! some folk had to have fish! we checked out a day early! an expensive xmas disaster!

My sister and I  stayed at the Lyndene, we were guaranteed  that it was disabled  friendly,  this was a lie. There were steps  down to the dinning  room, that was the start of the lies, i wont go into the long list of lies we were told. We were  asked on leaving  if we had a good stay i said no. I put a bad feedback  the hotel emailed  me to apologise  but i  refused to accept  it, our holiday  was ruined.

Didn't expect the Lyndene being like that it's a no go for us thanks for that we'll keep staying with Travelodge at seasider's way
