Hey everyone, welcome back to another video. Today we are in Blackpool, staying at what is the worst rated hotel on Booking.com in the entire town. It's called the Stonehouse Hotel. It's located on Vance Road, which is not far from town centre, looking at about a 3 minute walk. Therefore, it's very close to lots of restaurants, pubs, takeaways, Houndshill shopping centre, the Blackpool Tower, the famous Blackpool seafront, Coral Island, and lots more. So its location is pretty solid, with options for both paid and free parking just around the corner.

I paid a total price of £21.34 for one night stay in a single room. However, on arrival I was kindly upgraded to a double room. The owners who welcomed me into the hotel were extremely friendly. Granted, they didn't smile, but they were very helpful, very quick, and sent me straight up to the room.

First problem arrived when I got to the room door. I noticed that the door physically wouldn't open. I had to go back downstairs, speak to one of the staff members, and they came up and quite literally just shouldered the door open, breaking off pieces of the frame. So, not the best first impression. Moving into the actual room, I noticed all the wallpaper was literally hanging / peeling off the walls. There was mould, hairs, dust, dirt. Just unfortunately very basic cleaning that had not been done.

The bathroom had a very striking, strange colour scheme. Bright yellow all over the walls. It was a little bit too much for me. And again, the grime just continued. Not only that, but there was a huge puddle of unknown liquid right next to the toilet, which was concerning. The shower itself had lots of black mould, hanging off sealant, hairs, limescale on the shower head and grout which had not been cleaned in quite some time.

Then we did a bit of a bed test, and the bed was just as bad as the rest of the room. No mattress protector. The mattress itself was covered in blood and urine, as well as a few unidentifiable stains. The pillows were covered in sweat. By far the worst I have ever seen on a pillow. It was not somewhere I was going to be spending the night, so unfortunately had to vacate the room early. I don't complain to staff. Don't ask for a refund. Quite simply just show you the truth through these videos. If this is a hotel you're considering booking, I'd probably book elsewhere. You can definitely do better for the price. Nevertheless, I hope the owners get it sorted, as charging for that room was an insult to myself and the other guests. Thanks very much for watching. Hope you enjoyed the video.
