Just heard that Bobby Prince died on the sixteenth. RIP, mister Prince.

"If I ever have kids, they're gonna come out circle strafing."
Dude...
That's poetry.

It’s a good thing Tom Cruise said “DOOM”. If he said “TATER SALAD” who knows what game we would have ended up with.

The reason why Bobby Prince didn't get Copyrighted straight to heck was he was a lawyer before becoming a music maker. So he knew how much to change the songs.

Start of episode: Doom is in my blood! It's one of the most important games to ever exist!
End of episode: Fuck Doom, Doom sucks!

"Then muscle memory kicks in and you dodge right into their projectiles"
Holy fuck that's the most relatable thing I've heard all day

"Treat with shotgun. If problem persists, treat with more shotgun."

13:30 i love how the first thing people do when they get something related to invincibility, is to just drop all skill and self-preservation and just fuck shit up

"Rip & Tear" cutting out as the Invincibility fades kills me every time

"The benevolent, hyper-intelligent architect of the post-singularity simulation we all live in, John Carmack" <--- Every time I hear this, it gets funnier and funnier. XD

Pro-Tip: That explanation of waiting for the animation to finish before shooting again with the pistol, resulting in 100% accuracy, works on the chaingun as well.  Click, get the two-shot burst, click, two-shot burst.  If you rinse and repeat that, you have a 100% accurate chaingun.

"This just tastes like citrus. It doesn't taste like any specific citrus. It tastes like...like artificial citrus."

19:26 It's okay that you "Raw"ed Doom. After all, Tom Hall ended up being the lead game designer on the Gordon Ramsey mobile game. It's true, look it up.

Any orphan who plays Doom has the easiest bar to clear when it comes to spending more time with Doom than with their family.

9:42 "a lot of infighting" - that sounds so Doom.

One-shotting a Spider Mastermind with the BFG is largely a GZDoom-ism. It's possible in vanilla, but it requires firing while facing at a near perpendicular map angle (north/south or east/west) due to how hitscans checks are calculated in conjunction with the blockmap. GZDoom changes this calculation by default along with some of Doom's other internal physics handling and checks, making BFG one-shots on the Spiderdemon pretty easy to pull off. This is also why punching Cacodemons in GZDoom is so easy, and the port differences are even more glaring in Doom 2 where Arachnotrons and even Mancubi can be dealt with using the chainsaw whereas this tactic would be very risky in vanilla. You can even defeat a Spiderdemon with nothing but the chainsaw in GZDoom's default settings, something that's nigh impossible in vanilla.

GZDoom does allow closely emulating vanilla's normal behavior, however, with the "Doom (Strict)" mode in the compatibility options.

"I wonder if Sigil will be out on time"

- He said, with no faith whatsoever.

Everybody wants to know more about Civvie 11 and his backstory, meanwhile I'm just sitting here thinking what the hell did Katie do to end up in the dungeon.

"What you got in there?"
"In here? Quake."

Anyone who grew up playing Doom will be constantly going, "Hey, that's the sound from Doom!" since so many of the sound effects are from a library that a lot of shows and movies have used for over 20 years.

In particular:
-The door open sound
-The Imp hiss
-The "ka-WOOSH!" sound when the Icon of Sin fires out a monster spawn box. This is constantly used as a fireball/explosion sound for movies.
