Pantera was considered Groove Metal, they were so hard-core. 🤘🤘

Their genre is called groove-metal. They have a thrashy side too. If y’all haven’t seen it yet then I highly recommend “Pantera - Domination (Live in Moscow ‘91).” Fyi, the audience was 1.6 million people.

The first time I heard Pantera I didn’t like them, I thought they were too heavy. What made me become a Pantera fan was the song Becoming. I went with a buddy to Best Buy and he bought a copy of Pantera’s new album at the time Far Beyond Driven. We got to the car and he put that cd in the cd player. The first song on the album Strength Beyond Strength was just so heavy it was scary. It was like where could they go from that? Then the second song, Becoming came on and it blew my mind. It was like nothing I’d ever heard before. We listened to the entire cd and my buddy did not like it at all so he asked me if I wanted the cd. I took it for Becoming and listened to that song over and over and over again. I started to listen to the other songs on the cd and started liking them more and more. I then went and bought their prior album Vulgar Display of Power and loved it! I was then blown away to discover that they had an album, Cowboys From Hell, before Vulgar Display. Pantera is now my favorite band. I was fortunate enough to see them with the Abbott brothers 3 times, once when they opened for Black Sabbath, and 3 times (and counting) with Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante. Although there will never be an Abbott brothers Pantera at least we can still enjoy the music of Pantera live. Sorry for the novel of a comment but thanks for “listening” to me.

You guys should do “I’m Broken”

RIP Abbott bros you will never be forgotten❤❤❤❤

I’m a 56 y/o grandmother of 7 and metalhead since middle school. I remember when I was quite young sitting outside while my brother (8 yrs older than me) was blasting Molly Hatchett, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the like while he washed and waxed his Nova. My best friend and I would listen to all of those while we’d shoot hoops at their apartment complex and thought we were so cool. 38 Special stands out to me because it was her favorite of the bands I liked. So play anything 38 Special because they truly are special. Great reaction guys! 🤘

Any song will work all of them are incredible

Domination,live in Moscow! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!!!🤘🤘

Listen to this guy!!! He knows his Pantera!!!

Still remember the time I kind of met Dime Bag when he was staying at the Brisbane Marriott hotel where I worked in room service. Was a really fucking cool experience!!! 🤘🤘🤘

Definitely check out anything from their “first” album Cowboys from Hell if you want something more traditional and accessible, specifically ’primal concrete sledge’ ‘domination’ and ’cemetery gates’. For something heavier, anything from the great Southern Trendkill onwards would be good

you guys should listen to mouth for war by pantera trust me its worth your time

Rip Dime and Vinnie Paul 😢 Every human on earth 🌎 should adopt this philosophy.  Let's all get along, don't push your bullshit on me and expect me to cave. RE-SPECT!!

Fucking Hostile was the theme song for headbangers ball on mtv. There is no bad Pantera song!!! No one gives Rex any love, bad ass bassist! This is groove metal and it changed music forever! All time favorite for me

🔥 This is the 2nd song on my anger management therapy playlist. Brings me back to a peaceful place and makes me feel like I could run through a brick wall, all at the same time 🤬-->😁. So cathartic.

RIP Abbott brothers ♥️🤘🏻

Please react to "Five Minutes Alone" by Pantera

They were pretty seasoned at this point but this was one their earliest ventures into the "groove metal". Biut they were already a "glam metal" band for over 10 years before this. But different from other glam metal bands. You can tell even in their glam metal days they wanted to be SO much heavier than they were back then. A lot of people credit "Cowboys from Hell" as their first "Groove Metal" album but I'd argue the album before that "Power Metal" is their first REAL Pantera album.

Speaking of just "Thrash metal" I think "Metallicas" first album "Kill'em All" is the best album they ever made.

Beyond the Realms Of Death-live Epitaph by Judas Priest. Or Victim Of Changes , live US Fest , I believe 1883 by Judas Priest. Either are fire.

You do realize Vinnie Paul is Dimes brother on drums 🥁

Yall got check out 5 minutes alone
