Just good life advice.

Tuotilo's Palm is a shield that counts as an off-hand weapon, gets bonuses from Transcended Suffering (so it scales like unarmed strikes), and generates more wounds when you are hit in melee. Upgrades can increase damage/accuracy, and deflection and reflex per wound/counterattack chance when missed in melee (/ because options are mutually exclusive). Overall it seems mandatory for monks. Also, it gives you one more engagement slot, of course.

If only the monk had anything approaching monk like animations

Deadfire made me want more pirate themed CRPGs

Nothing can describe the absolute horror a Nalpazca monk feels when encountering an enemy who can make them sober.

Was hoping this series would be picked up again :)

Whoa, this video is recent! I love that you keep uploading updates. And perfect timing for my first playthrough. I had a cipher in PoE1, so I'm considering multi-class options for that. Thank you for your excellent work!

That's a fun timing. I played a lot of WOTR recently and just started a PoE2 playthrough.

Shattered Pillar is probably the most busted way to play Pillars 2. Back when I loved watching builds on this game i often saw shattered pillar as “THE solo class” since Theres so many ways to get it to be OP easily. You wanna take on POTD alone? Pick Shattered Pillar. The reason it’s so good is cause the wound uptime outshines the max wound decrease and the damage required to gain wounds effectively making it a subclass with no downsides. So you have subclass that has no downsides and it’s mixxed with a class that is already crazily OP and has abilities that are amazing.

Shifter Druid + Monk and watch your bear do flip kicks and more lol

POE2 is such a great game. Always loved its turn based mode.

Forbidden Fist is not just a solid option. It is arguably THE best monk option. It allows you to inflict ENFEELBED (NO HEALING POSSIBLE! CON is reduced by 5 AND ALL hostile effects are increased by 50% duration...) Basically it is crazy good.

Xoti as Priest and Serafen as Cypher and Edér as Fighter/Rogue ist my best combo for endgame mega bosses.

I still think this series is the best interpretation of the Fighter, Bard, Monk, Barbarian, Paladin and Warlock class archetypes.

I did an 8 character full created party run and ooooh boy my Barbarian/Monk was pure as heart and dumb of ass.

Cool!!! Good luck, happiness, health, and success to you, comrade, the author of this video, and to the creators of this game, and to all of you!!!

My biggest issue with monk in deadfire was that there didn't seem to be a whole lot of gear that caters to them(or fit with them thematically).

Perhaps they didnt need any. My monk/wizard was a powerhouse lol

I hope they Update the PoE 2 Turn based to be more like PoE 1. Monks would benefit from the ability to have frequent turns due to action speed.

The +10 int thing just opens up so many interesting multiclassing options for Monk. My favourite class to think of new multiclassing builds for.

Forbidden Fist is a fun and strong class, and I liked multiclassing it more than Helwalker even if that is probably more raw power, but you also have to like the signature move as you will use it a lot. It's almost like a monk that feels like a warlock from dnd 5e. I think generally forbidden fist gains a lot from a variety of multiclasses, especially if it relates to being able to gain quick regen buffs etc. And you will cast very fast with their talents.

Anyway, it's the class I got the farthest with before I put the game aside, and I can recommend it! I really feel like pillars actually found a way to make monk fit seamlessly with casters, which is one of my favourite concepts in rpgs. I figure if my caster ever is beset, I'd want them to have a last line of defense in their staff or fists and I like the idea of a zen mind in casting. :D

Forbidden fist and Nalpazca call to me
