Correction to my Oct 2nd Cornell 7 timeline: new audio released Oct 6th changes the consent story. According to ABC's reporting on Jane Doe's phone calls with one of her assailants, she asked how she ended up in a threesome, said she was 10 shots deep, remembered 4 men on the bed and more standing around, and said: "What y'all did would be classified as gang rape."

I originally thought she consented to a threesome, but nothing else. Turns out, she didn't even consent to that.

Reminds me of an idiot that claimed to get consent from a deaf underaged child.
You know she was deaf (and underaged, but let's ignore that for a second), so she definitely didn't hear what you were asking about.
This guy damn well knew the girl who had 10 shots prior was Not Sober! But of course, he got consent anyway.

Exactly everything you and the lady in the clip said! Also, how the f*** is he so positive she told him that she was sober but he can't remember who was in the room with them?
It's quite convenient that he's very clear headed when it comes to her and what she supposedly said and agreed to but his memory gets so fuzzy when it is his turn to talk about his role!

I hope this is a safe place to share this: I lost my shit today because my (pick-me, narcissist, boomer) mother brought up, in front of my adolescent children no less, that she learned after talking to my brother that Jane Doe “had apparently consented to having sex with two of the guys”. Then had the audacity to say it was cool that my kids wanted to be involved in the conversation. The fact that I actually had to say out loud “so that justifies the five other rapists?? She was in no position to give consent and they all knew it” and she got incredibly defensive and angry with ME! I don’t know what to do with this rage rn. This problem is so systemic and deeply rooted in the patriarchy; some of us can’t escape it even in our own homes.

I’m a former bartender and bar manager for over 20 years. She said she was “10 shots in”.

If it was shots and not drinks she probably consumed them in a much shorter time than she would have if it were 10 drinks. Unless she was downing the drinks, it takes longer to finish a drink than a shot.

10 shots in how much time? That girl was not in a condition to consent or think straight. I feel for her. If you read this Jane Doe and need a supportive friend, I’m here for you.

As someone who consentually participates in group sex, dating couples and swinging, this is exactly why I hide my lifestyle completely at all times in real life. People's true colours are showing. When I had a foursome I said yes to all 3 of them, explicitly and soberly yes. That does not take away my right to say no to anyone else. What is wrong with people.
