I came upon this channel quite by accident, looking for details on the Reximex brand, and not only did I learn a few things from Nick, but he's also a rare breed of content creator who entertains with seemingly little to no effort. Well done and keep it up!
fantastic video, fantastic set-up for less than £500, but as a first time hunter etc you forgot about a way to fill the rifle so an air source is also needed ,be it a hand pump or pcp air tank (dive bottle) so you now need to add say anywhere from £75 -300 depending on refill tank size so £500 has soon become between £565-800 nearly, but for that set up you show us its excellent value no doubt about that 👍
I have a Zulus v2 on my s510r it’s amazing, but after watching your channel Ive ordered a goyojo for the money it’s a no brainier probably put it on my Kral np02 or my gamo gx40, Cheers for the videos 👍
Well, being a bloke of a certain age,,,, I seem to amass guns like wives collect tea towels. I would certainly consider Nick’s value option to expensive big name outfits. I can see the advantage of such a kit for “new” airgun shooters but back in the day the only compressed air we had was in a balloon on a stick. There is a strong case for serving an apprenticeship with a springer. (Agree Nick?) Mastering a 4-9x32 atop an hw30 or the like, really makes you feel special. A pcp makes a cracking 2nd rifle, especially if you’re considering a bit of pest control. A springer, even old’ns, can be stripped and fixed countless times and doing so will add to greatly to your appreciation of our sport. Sorry if you find this a tad lengthy but hopefully it’s food for thought. I’ve been hooked since I accidentally shot my mate Charlie with his Gat! (1964) No, he didn’t think it was funny either.
What I find with bipods is that so often they raise the fore end to high . Gotta search to get one with a shorter leg length . I've even cut them down shorter before .
By the way I bought mine in Spain, the same, I paid £225 for my .22, after conversion with a tin of FTT thrown in. Amazing price, I'm thinking of getting one in .25 as well but the tuned T-Rex bullpup.25 is pretty good anyway and pretty light.
Great to let folks know! Love the rifle, but it’s wasting air here in Canada with our power limits. I think it has the same heavy hammer and spring as the U.S. models with power as high as 25ft/lbs. I can tell the spring is too strong by the cocking effort. I can’t mill a piston down to a lower weight like you have the tools to do but still enjoying the very accurate rifle. Only getting 49 shots on the regulator in .22 at our stifled law maximizing us to under 500 fps because Canada considers this a pistol. I will definitely be looking into that optic if it can be shipped to Canada, because we also have laws around night hunting, even if it’s pest control. We also have an out right ban on silencers, even for military and police use. Shooters in the UK think the laws are tough lol.
honestly id recommend your local gun shop second hand rack first. might find a real gem before you look for new. digital scope though is in my opinion the best bit of kit you can buy now days once you figure them out you can never go back
Great that you have shown a budget setup ( this shows how much we are being ripped off on prices in the UK ) ....if a gun hits what you want to shoot at why pay more?
Ideal for the first-time hunter on a budget. A complete day and night PCP combo for UNDER £500!?
