Dame Esther Rantzen the broadcaster, charity founder, and assisted dying campaigner has died at the age of 86.
Her family have paid tribute to her as the "most wonderful mother" and a "cherished grandmother". She was known for presenting the BBC TV programme, That's Life, and later went on to set up Childline, the helpline for children suffering abuse or neglect in the UK.
Recently, she had campaigned for the legalisation of assisted dying.
