Part 1 of a series. In this part we disassemble the motorcycle so we can remove the carberetors from the bike.
This video series is full carburetor rebuild on a 2004 Kawasaki ZZR600 (ZX600-E12) using the All Balls Racing 26-1718 parts kit. The process for the ZX600-D and E series motorcycles are basically the same.

So far I have drained the gas tank and checked the fuel filters, both in the petcock and the inline fuel filter that runs from the tank to the carburetor. The petcock itself is clean. I also rebuilt the carburetors last year when I first bought the bike. I haven’t opened them again since around October, although it seems unlikely they would have gotten that gummed up in such a short time.
I’ve verified that the bike is getting spark. I tested the spark plugs and also installed a new battery.
Does anyone have ideas on what else could be causing this fuel starvation issue?
