In this documentary, we explore the tragic fate of Hollywood’s original child stars — young performers who became famous, wealthy, and adored by millions, only to face devastating struggles after the spotlight faded.

We trace the rise of Hollywood’s earliest child stars, from their breakthrough roles and extraordinary fame to the pressures of studios, demanding contracts, family conflicts, and lives controlled by adults around them.

We examine what happened when these children grew up — the lost careers, financial troubles, addiction, broken relationships, mental struggles, and tragic deaths that followed some of the biggest stars of early Hollywood.

Behind the smiles, costumes, and unforgettable performances was a darker reality: childhood fame could come with a price few were prepared to pay. This is the story of the young stars who helped build Hollywood — and what happened when Hollywood moved on.
