"Now that I'm an adult, I realize how much I wanted a nitro RC car as a kid. My dream was to build it together with my dad, but he was highly against it. He disliked the cost of maintenance and had heard that they were a waste of money, so I never ended up getting one. This video has inspired me. I think I'll take him to a hobby shop this week, buy a nitro build kit for myself, and surprise him with a Primal RC Gas Dodge Challenger or the Raminator with Taylor engine."
We should talk about the Jato 3.3, it is still damn fast even alongside modern electrics. Itāll still do 70mph bone stock and itāll pull wheelies DEEP into 2nd gear. Wicked truck. Still available to buy today brand new.
I'm always lazy about playing with my nitro cars. But when I do it's extremely rewarding and enjoyable. The knowledge that there's a little piston moving up and down just like a real car is very cool.
Iāve started my hobby with nitro this year. Absolutely love my traxxas slayer pro, itās insane. Of course it took sometime and efforts to figure out some details, but when it starts driving properly itās so rewarding. Yesterday I rebuilt the engine to make sure itās clean and it boosted me so much in understanding my vehicle!
I think Nitro is coming back in a big way as electrics have really got kind of stale in the last few years. At least nitros make the noise. I think of it this way. If you are really good with electric. Meaning attention to detail and have the mind for it, nitro is the natural progression and in a few ways regression of the hobby. What was once cool becomes cool again.
This is a good video. One tip I learned years ago. You mentioned the 1mm idle gap. If resetting the idle gap is needed using the end of the paper clip to gauge the 1mm idle gap works very well for the 3.3.
Tons and tons of great info! Only thing I would add is WHY running richer is preferred and considered a āsafeā tune. The fuel is both lubrication AND cooling. So running richer means cooler temps and more lubrication. Itās the equivalent of an early oil change in my mind lol
this goes beyond RC grade. RC gourmet? RC porn? Best RC channel at the moment. Your content, your shared knowledge, your deep dive into the things... its gold. I cant stress how much I learned in less than 4 month that I“m in the hobby. For that, thanks a lot.
I've only driven a nitro truck once.i was about 8 years old It was my dads nitro kyosho mad force. That was by far the most fun I've ever had with a RC
This video is absolutely fantastic! The most detailed and easy-to-understand guide on running Nitro, especially the break-in and tuning process. Watching this makes me want to immediately buy a Revo 3.3 to experience those "real engine noises" the channel mentioned! Thanks, Do RC, for producing such quality content! Hope the channel owner replies to this comment! šÆš„šØš
