Long time follower here, this is by FAR the backhand video I've ever seen. The quality, the camera angles, the breakdown and the level of detail makes this your best video to date.

It's one thing to be talented enough to hit a perfect backhand, but it's another talent altogether to be able to teach it. Only Karue.

This is the best video I’ve seen teaching a backhand

Love how you are introducing this as your technique, not the "right" technique everyone should use

I’ve tried to find the right feel on my thbh for years. Your Ben Shelton analysis really was an eye opener. I’ll try that grip change and focus on catching the ball clean more than anything else as I do.

Thanks man!

In terms of terminology most coaches are loose when referring to closed stance and neutral stance. Neutral (or square stance) is when your hips are turned sideways to the net, facing the side fence. Closed stance your hips start more toward the back corner

such a great backhand video and makes me improve

Man what you explained with the left anchor leg and not backing up with your legs first is exactly why i’ve had a hard time coordinating my lower half with my top half. To the point where a Oney started feeling more natural because I anchor more with my right leg! But with this tip I think i can lock in on the 2H again

That stands on one leg exercise is an excellent idea, thanks Karue ! I saw Sinner does similar drill in the warm up as well.

a couple things you seem to do naturally that aren't natural for everyone else. 1) flowing to the ball rather then getting in place and waiting for the ball. That timing isn't always easy to do. 2) The other thing is that you seem to be able to give the racquet head a good acceleration while keeping your wrists cocked. From the end of the video you seem to be saying that it is much easier to do if your right hand grip is a strong continental or eastern. Thanks for this really clear explanation. Very complete.

Hi Karue, excellent video on the two-hand backhand. Probably the best i've seen on Youtube ! Great job !

Thanks Karue - I echo what others have expressed. This is definitely one of the BEST videos I have seen on the Backhand. I normally use more left hand but now I am very keen to try more RIGHT hand. Great content, and look forward to future videos.

Woah. The whole grip discussion finally helped me figure out a "right-dominant" backhand. Nice work Karue

For me, your best instruction vid ever. Thanks

17:02 Your backhand finish is crucial to help players find their 2hander & 1hander. Your V finish is apparent when paused at 17:02 . Staying on on the side of the V tilted to yourself and not going beyond the vertical line has been major for me. That position is reached by having the correct grip and swinging correctly.

nice video ! so helpful

This is the only guide people should follow for a solid 2 hander. I just applied these principles this morning and could feel a huge difference! Turns out I like more right dominant as well with a stronger grip. Much more free swinging. So many other guides say it is just a left handed forehand and that always felt wrong to me. I tried that but it only made my backhand worse and more cramped. From every source I tried to pick the best tips and this one video seems to have all those best tips combined with every detail nailed perfectly. Thank you so much!!
