Seen Phil live with Robert Plant when he first came out on his own after the Zep break. Pictures At Eleven tour Kit was so massive, even with binos all I could see was the top of his head.

I was born in 75. So Phil Collins was huge when I was a kid. Loved all his ballads and radio hits. Has such a distant voice. Really leans into the song as a singer. Always loved him. I didn’t know he was a drummer till I was in my early 20’s! I was blown away. Watched some PBS or BBC documentary on him one night after about a quarter ounce of the green. Couldn’t take my eyes off the screen

It’s interesting watching Phil Collins name his favorite drummers when the late Neil Peart who many have at #1 said Phil collins timing was impeccable and was one of the greatest percussionists of all time.
