Capt. Sullenberger SAVED THOUSANDS of lives on the ground too.  He saved MORE thousands from the hell of having to do a 9/11 style rescue.  Fire crews etc.  In total he saved upwards of 30,000 people from first hand or second hard effects of a crash.

The way Sully immediatly turns around, looking for Jeff and putting his arm around him, expressing that he doesn't want to take all credit, just so wonderful

Captain, please don't say you could have done better. You did your best and you did good. Words can't describe what you did. Enjoy your life.

I still cry watching this and I pray to God for your life, dear Mr. Sally . Million kisses to you.

What a class act! The world need more people like this! Awesome job by all involved!

@5:55  Hero by my definition is just a term we used to call someone who happens to be at the right place(s), doing the right thing(s), at the right time, with the best of his/her capabilities to carry justice or saving life. Captain Sully did all that if not more, undeniably, he is a Hero, period.

thumbs up if you agree

Skill...calm...resoluteness unqualed in my memory...THAT is what saved 155 people from certain death...

If I were in that flight, I will worship him for my whole life.

The way he saved all of those lives was extremely amazing!! God Bless the entire crew!!

He made the best choice. Crashing in the city, they all would have died. I think he has a hard time accepting, God guided him that day and made the right choice, and he saved EVERYONE. Bless you.

Captin Sully. Wow!! You saved 155 lives and should be considered a hero because you are. I've watched the movie and you know what? Tom Hanks played that role so well on how you did it in real time!! You have given New York some excellent news because New York was hit by the worst tragedy ever been, by 9/11. and you have given them so much hope in life and to travel by plane once again. YOU ARE A HERO. DON'T EVER FORGET THAT.  Sending lots of hugs from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤

great captain. He will always be remembered in the history of America

Sully... Big hug from Mexico.... Another big hug to your crew and your family.

what a true hero, brave, humble and very deep in his thoughts and emotions ❤

What a humble man Sully is, that was reflected in his crew as well

This is beautiful! Brought tears in my eyes.....
Captain Sullenberger is such a humble person down to earth. Cheers for the whole crew of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 :･ﾟ✧:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

All the pomp and ceremony must feel surreal to him. This poor man and his flight crew are gonna be suffering a lot of stress. What a fabulous outcome though and what a good sport to agree to all of it.

A true gentleman, a real hero in every sense of the word

It's the most incredible story. Sully Sullenberger is an actual hero walking among us. I had no friends or family on that flight but I'm still grateful for Sully's actions that brought 155 people home to their friends and family.

He is a true hero and wil b remembered
