In this Warhammer the Old World lore video I dive into Bretonnia's most haunted Dukedom, Mousillon. A full lore video about Mousillon and how I believe it could be a future campaign for Bretonnia.

This video came out at a great time! My local Mordheim league is about to start a campaign in Mousillon.

Love this "series" of possible alternative places for Mordheim like games!

Just reinforces your point at the start- the depth of history and stories from one tiny sea of the old world is insane- the world really is 'lived in'. Love it.

I hope we get an Affair of the False Grail campaign in the near future

A local hobby legend made a Mousilon army using a lot of dirty down moss on the Bretonia models and I think can play them both as Brets or Vampire Counts. It looks fantastic and sooo evocative.

@Sandrip3926 8 months ago

that would be fantastic if they brought back vampire counts this way. 100% there for that

I could see Albion becoming the next Mordheim

I've been using Soulblight Graveyards mixed with Bretonnians to model my Deadtonnians. Just got to 500pts and finally starting to play some games 💪

I always run the virtue of the ideal on my very clearly blood knight baron on pegusai! Because that was the virtue of Landuin the founder of Mousilon!

Crazy timing! I’m listening to the Knight of Bretonnia book series and when Mousillon got mentioned I started thinking about how fun it would be to play a Mousillon setting. Didn’t know there was a fan setting already!

Vampire Counts of Mousillion would be a dream come true. Mordheim 2.0 in there would be also amazing! Bretonnian lore/themes are really cool and they deserve some love after all these years.

Hey mate, so I'm currently making an undead Mousillon themed army, with some units I can use for my Vampire Counts army. This includes a Lord on Royal Pegasus that I've kitbashed so that the front of the Pegasus is undead with demonic wings (basically the idea is that they've been cursed by Malfeur to search for a grail... for eternity). I actually got inspired after reading about the death of Maldred and the undead of Mousillon in one of the old Vampire Counts army books, which I really hope the Old World expands on. No idea who the scarlet robed figure who killed them all could be.

Would love to see some terrain inspired by this.

Gotta say after listening to both this and your Sartosa video - Mousillon has my vote. I love Pirate AND Vampire stuff, but Mousillon is just so multifaceted, unique, and haunted it has my vote for what I'd pick GW to set a new skirmish game in.

Great summary. You can really see the influences on the design team when it’s set out like that -Mousilllon sinking into the swamp has to be a nod to Monty Python and the Holy Grail’s ‘Huge Tracts of Land’ scene, surely? Right, I’m off to paint some skellies to roam the wastes (which sound nothing like a wet weekend in the Peak District, absolutely not).
