Thanks for watching! This challenge, as well as editing all of the footage for this video was quite the difficult task, so I appreciate all the support from you guys! The full playthrough w/o commentary is available in the description.

SA2, Unleashed and 06 are the three Sonic games I don’t think I could ever complete without taking a hit, I have a TON of respect for the amount of time, planning and dedication that goes into a run like this one!

"I did not add jiggle physics to that bat girl" made me spit my drink out.

Brilliant video, NaSC, as always.

The funny thing about that "Give up the emerald, or die - I don't love you" line is that in the context of the song, Knuckles is saying that to Rouge. Y'know, someone he's known for maybe five minutes if we're being generous. Me think the echidna doth protest too much.

“I could never get tired of City Escape!”
Narrator: “He got tired of city escape.”

KNGHT OF SA2 NOW??? This guy's gonna conquer the whole franchise

I was wondering why this video was only 30 minutes and then you said "The Hero Story" and I was like "ah yes, some people consider finishing a single story as beating the game." That said, its still no less impressive because some of the enemy and trap placements in the shooting and hunting stages really feel like the devs just wanted you to take hits at places. Routing and executing the game plan like this is definitely a feat of skill worthy of the King of Heroes!

Also, huge shoutouts to the artist who made your Uekawa-sona talk portraits! They nailed the pre-Sonic Channel Uekawa look more solidly than most and the stylization on the clothes and hair is really cool, too!

Also also, your singing at the beginning was actually pretty nice, too!

All of this to say he prefers 'Open Your Heart' at the end. Lol, lmao even.

13:50 "... and no, touching the cars or walls does not count. I swear, y'all are sadistic."
Not sadistic. Just traumatized by the humble Mission 3 and Mission 4. That's all

That Mario render is diabolical,I love it😂

This vid is a masterpiece. What a journey! I love how this isn't the standard "proving it's possible to beat the game without X happening" youtube challenge run with save states et cetera. No, you ACTUALLY did it, with full resets from the beginning of the game each time. You actually showed the varying places where lots of runs ended too, which tells the story of what you're going through.

This is one of the only times a youtuber has made the mech stages very engaging to watch. Not just because of the stakes, but because of your breakdowns of specific moments in the stages.

Outstanding work! BUT, I wouldn't feel the need to always do the most punishing runs. Your personality and jokes could certainly carry an easy challenge run too.

Also, don't sell yourself short about your high skill level in these games. Anyone who can do Final Rush without breaking a sweat is at least in the 95th percentile of people who have played this game. Anyone who is good enough to even attempt this challenge run is in the 99th percentile. Just because there's a pro speedrunning community etc doesn't take that away.

I can’t wait for chao karate no damage!

Good sir knight! Well done. This is very impressive. I especially liked your musical interlude, even if I couldn't hear all of it.

30:12 Rail Canyon Nonsense. It's like your signature move.
Also very funny to hear you complain about speedy characters on small platforms. No other games do that, right?

Great video! You did well, for someone who suffers from major skillissue-itis in this game.

6:17 you gotta get into that early 2000s mindset. Where the first traces of alpha/sigma male were being made.

During the second Shadow/Sonic boss fight sometimes he will spawn inside the trail of rings. While it isn't really used in the levels, it actually is an attack and will always hit the boss safely. I'd imagine that would help in the Dark story since Shadow doesn't get the bounce bracelet.

about the lyrics for wild canyon, I always thought he was saying "Give up the emerald or die, I don't know". Sort of like an inner turmoil for Knuckles, either he gives up the emerald or dies defending it.
but when you pointed out what you're hearing I could hear it lol.

What I learned from this video is that the strat to beat Rouge is to drill her.

7:22 "Eggman keeps letting his guard down, even though he's had three chances to put his guard back up"
