Filling Up For The First Time After The Chopper Tank Was Installed To Test My Range

This is the first time fueling up (other than a gas can) since I installed the ‪@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS‬ fuel tank on my 2008 Honda Shadow Chopper project! Since I installed a GPS speedometer and am not 100% sure how accurate it is but it should be good enough to not leave me stranded.

Looks like you could easily hit 100 miles before you really need to look for gas, which is a good square number. That's not terrible for a relatively small gas tank. My wife's Ryker has a weird shaped tank on it and the dash doesn't lose a tick mark until around 100 miles at which point it quickly drops. I think it gets about 150 miles if you run it close to bone dry.

Really not that bad for a relatively small tank. I think the aesthetics outweigh the range anxiety. If you ever want to have an emergency reserve you could pick up a cheap 750ml aluminum fuel bottle which would add about 10 miles in an incredibly small canister. 'Course, then you gotta carry a small bottle full of flamable liquid around with you, and some gas stations will eyeball you trying to fill one up since they look remarkably like red water bottles. lol I use them to pick up small amounts of non ethanol for the lawn mower so I can take my bike to get the gas, and they're pretty great little containers.

I stick my finger in the tank and kinda judge the amount of gas in Lucille.woke up this morning and after 7 years my battery has died.
If you’re good at math you can calibrate the revolutions per mile and rotation of the tires.& divide it with miles per gallon should be in the neighborhood
