As a designer, who rides a "cafe/ retro-ish" bike and a guy who borrowed my wife's Sportster, your breakdown of "bike guy types" is pretty accurate 😅
Man... your end result is cool and can absolutely appreciate the work and learning that went into it... but that stock bike was so nice!!!! I wish you had found something on it's way out and given it new life, rather than chop up a rare, really well maintained stock bike.
Anyway, regardless, it's pretty awesome. And I'm just a loser who can't ride bikes any way 😂
LFG! This was a super fun video. As a Dyna Bro, Sportsters can be turned into some badass bikes. The community loves to talk trash, but it’s all in good fun. Total respect for getting elbow deep into the mods yourself. That’s the best part 🤙
Don't know if I buy all that "I'm a beginner at everything" stuff, but the bike turned out great - so glad you changed those handlebars! So true that we express ourselves through our bikes!
As a fellow 02 sporty rider. There is no greater feeling of pride and joy, than riding a motorcycle you wrenched on and customized to your personality. Stock bikes are amazing if you plan to pass it on the to next guy. Unlike their custom counterparts they lack the soul and essence of the owner. A machine turned into an unique art piece of one’s self. That my friend is priceless! Love how your build came out! subscribed to follow your growth as a motorcyclist and to follow on your build! Godspeed!
