That's where I got my Arabian, then got rid of it because they get deathly frightened by as little as a moving leaf and buck you off and run.

About the Panoramic Map:
1. The frozen couple do not always spawn in the same place.  There are several possible spawn locations throughout the snowy region.  Just look out for the double xx's on the minimap.
2. I once accidentally nudged the couple and the map fell to the ground and the game wouldn't then let me pick it up.  If this happens to you, ride away a distance and return.  The game will rebuild the scene with the map in the couple's hands again and then the prompt to "Read Note" will show up.
