Anyone who played RDR knows to lasso the wild horses since that was the only way back then

fun thing: you can constantly brush/pet your horse or dog by spamming the button

re: instead of jumping on a platform when using consumables from you selection wheel... it is much faster to use a rifle/repeater instead. Just make sure you are holding the rifle/repeater with both hands and start walking, bring up your selection wheel and make your selection, immediately after you release your selection wheel to initiate the selection hit the JUMP button. Handy when you find yourself in the middle of a prairie without a platform, fence, log, or rock to jump on. You can use this to quickly pump up your levels of HEALTH, STAMINA, AND DEAD EYE. You can literally max out to level 8 with one bottle of Ginseng Elixir (HEALTH), one bottle of Aged Pirate Rum (STAMINA), and one bottle of Valerian Root (DEAD EYE) using this technique right away in Chapter 2... or even as early as Chapter 1 by free roam with Kieran hogtied on the back of your horse. This is especially helpful when you have the early satchels and may have only 1 of a certain tonic. You can get the benefits without actually USING and LOSING the item.

1:52 This is great advice,  only I'd add making sure to maybe rob the entire train itself FIRST.  Once you pull your gun on a train it become like a legit bank robbery-"Shit its the law!"
