Today, I’ll show you how to make "Jagariko-style crispy potato sticks." This is an easy snack recipe using potatoes that offers an addictive, crispy texture! They are so delicious you won't be able to stop eating them—perfect for enjoying just like french fries. You can even freeze them for later, so please give this recipe a try.

【Ingredients】 (Makes 48 pieces)
・Potatoes: 350g
・Carrot: 30g
・Dried parsley: 1/2 tsp
・Cake flour (or all-purpose flour): 25g
・Potato starch (katakuriko): 25g
・Sugar: 1/3 tsp
・Salt: 1/4 tsp
・Granulated consommé: 1 tsp
・Frying oil: Appropriate amount
【Instructions】
1. Peel the potatoes, cut them into rough chunks, and soak in water for 5 minutes.
2. Peel the carrot and finely mince it.
3. Drain the potatoes, cover with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 6–7 minutes.
4. Mash the potatoes; add the sugar, salt, and consommé, and mix well while mashing.
5. Add the carrot and dried parsley, and mix.
6. Add the potato starch and cake flour, mix, and adjust the consistency with a little water (not included in the ingredient list).
7. Take portions of the potato mixture and roll them into stick shapes.
8. Cut into 2cm lengths and flatten slightly with a fork.
9. Fry in oil at 170°C until crispy, and they’re ready to serve. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
