I totally feel for you with your channel getting deleted. I did Youtube for 4 years (1 year full time) and my channel with 70k subs got randomly deleted one day for apparently violating the "spam and deceptive practices" policy. I tried the normal appeal, got a copy-paste response not actually telling me what I did that got me banned, then reached out to creator support on twitter and got the exact same response. I was never once told what video or section of a video violated guidelines, and to this day I don't know if I've spoken to a real person at Youtube about it or just their automated systems.

I really can't describe how it feels to lose something that you poured everything into for years. The closest thing I can think of is getting suddenly fired from a long-time job, but even in that case you maybe have some legal recourse. Just to add salt to the wound, that channel that got deleted was the same one I had as a kid, so 10 years of viewing history, liked videos, and playlists all got deleted :/ I had videos uploaded of my bearded dragon who passed away from cancer that I also can't access now.

Not many channels left that make me drop everything I'm doing and watch when I see they've posted. This is one of those channels.

The worst thing about losing the channel is that while you had an audience that could get it escalated - some smaller channels don't have that option and Youtube has no option to fix this for them without knowing someone that works there - big flaw in Youtube's support system

bro that hair cut, I feel betrayed like one of those babies that sees their dad without a beard for the first time

29:22 "I want to work without distractions"
Puts phone right in front of you all the time 😂

As a parent of twins, I love seeing you and your twin working together. Great stuff!

Somethings you should know:
1. You did absolutely the right thing when your chanel got hacked. only thing you can do is to speak to a human
2. The hackers can "delete" your videos in the same way that you can, but youtube still has them all. Still liked to your channel. A video you deleted, you can restore to your channel if you revert to a day before you deleted it.

The reason I call out the 2nd point is:
1. Never upload anything you don't want google to have forever to youtube
2. Deleted videos can be recovered in very special circumstances, but mostly not

This channel is as underrated as vertical storage

the idea of plywood being desirable is insane to me, it used to just be the cheapest wood possible if you wanted something relatively sturdy, and considered so ugly. Desk looks great!

Finally, I already know the 3 month wait will be worth it.

Ok - this is impressive. As an industrial designer, I know how satisfying is to be able to build our own stuff. It’s even more special when we have the right tools for that, and also showing us in the best way possible. That’s a great follow!

As a note about the channel takeover, if the hacker "deleted" your videos, they still wouldn't be gone. YouTube keeps a huge backlog of every channel's entire upload catalogue. LTT and some others had an issue a while back, and when their channels were reinstated, long-gone uploads, like tests, privated, unlisted, and just old garbage that they long forgot about came back. Your channel was truly never gone, and YouTube is very aware of these livestream crypto takeovers.

Holy smokes that desk turned out fantastic. Congrats on finishing college and good luck with the YouTube career!

0:11 I thought my desk was bad 😭

You have a rare and enviable talent of not just being able to make beautiful work, but also being able to display and share it in a way that somehow enhances the quality of the thing you've made. That wooden knob ... stunning. The wax jacket ... incredible. This desk and video ... amazing! You've done it again!

On my 13th birthday, I was given a new desk. I got to design it myself, and then watch it be built by a local cabinet maker. I must say it was a very good design, because it was simple and easy to move. It only had drawers on one side. The other side was supported by a single leg, which could be removed. Because the weight was in the drawers, it was really easy to pick up from the drawer end.
It was well built and well finished by a professional cabinet maker. It wasn't much to look at, but it was really practical because I moved house probably a dozen times or more with that desk. Looking back now in my old age, I think it was one of the best birthday presents I ever got -- to design and supervise the construction of a desk.

Someday you're going to win Youtube awards. I'm not sure what I appreciated more - the insanely well-designed, over-thought-out, absolutely beautiful and functional piece of furniture that you created; or the utterly appealing documentation of that process with perfectly scored, narrated, produced, and edited film. Your channel is going to absolutely blow up now that you're focusing on it full-time. The art you've been able to produce at only part-time has been so rad to watch. Thanks for sharing your gifts with the world, dawg.

28:17 Just a pro tip, never use tape as a permanent cable tying solution. If you leave it there for long enough, the glue will start to disintegrate and leave a sticky mess all over your cables. Better to use a velcro tie or zip-ties in a pinch. This goes for gaffer's, duct and electrical tape. The only tape that doesn't leave serious residue is painter's tape. Hope that helps!

Congratulations on finishing college!
