Apothecary Drawers make more and more and more sense to me every day. Especially because I like to have all sorts of USB dongles and converters and spare cables, it'd be awesome to properly separate them. And of course, having one for my chapsticks, and then pens, then pencils, et cetera.

1:04 Safety police here, you are getting a ticket for wearing gloves while running boards through the table saw. It makes it easier to cut your fingers off because the saw can catch the excess material and pull your whole hand into the blade.

my friends grandma had an old solid wood writing desk with varying apothecary drawers, it is perfect and everything i had ever dreamed of. SHE GAVE IT TO ME FOR DUCKING FREE. i just had to get it. i was over joyed. two things i was not expecting to like this much, were these tiny cabinets it has. just two by tens that are perfect for a little journal.

if i had a nickel for every time i watched a video about someone designing a sit stand desk to have good looking drawers at 2am, I'd have two nickels, which isnt a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

It’s best practice to apply finish to both sides of a piece. Although the table is made of plywood and may seem dimensionally stable, moisture and air will penetrate the finished and unfinished surfaces differently. This can cause uneven movement and potentially warping over time

My exact problem with "modern" desks. Me and my fiance's set ups are simple: basically plastic tables for our PCs. It's plenty of space. But the problem is: no storage! I ended up getting some extra office drawers and it ALMOST fits. I use the drawers as extra storage for my cups since it's shorter than the table, it's basically an L-shaped desk. This project seems so amazing for these kinds of problems.
