Christine (titled onscreen as John Carpenter's Christine) is a 1983 American supernatural horror film co-scored and directed by John Carpenter, and adapted from Stephen King's 1983 novel.
The film stars Keith Gordon as Arnie Cunningham, a bullied teenager who buys a sentient 1958 Plymouth Fury, named "Christine", that exhibits a toxic personality and becomes a bad influence on him. John Stockwell, Alexandra Paul, Robert Prosky and Harry Dean Stanton also star.

The novel has an interesting structure, since it starts being told by Dennis in first person, the middle part is told in third person (since Dennis is out of the picture due to his accident) and the third part is from Dennis' perspective again.
In the book, Christine is actually posessed by the evil spirit of the previous owner (who himself sells the car to Arnie and dies soon after) while in the film the car itself is a force of evil, influencing the respective owner. Also Arnie is not at the garage during the showdown.
John Carpenter was supposed to direct the adaptation of King's novel "Firestarter" but was replaced with Mark L. Lester (The Class of 1984) after "The Thing" flopped. While King is not the biggest fan of the movie version of Christine, he openly disliked Firestarter.
Christine has a cameo in "Cat's Eye".
2. If Buddy's in high school, so am I🤫
3. I'm with you. His parents deserve it.
4. Arnie was running hot auto parts and dugs for Darnell.
5. In the book both Arnie and Darnell die in different ways.
6. The windows on Christine are black on purpose. We don't know if Arnie's driving her or Christine.
7. Loved me some Harry Dean Stanton. Great character actor.😇
8. I can't believe Leigh got back onto the car at the drive-in after the incident.
Also a side note, cujo. In the book you can read the dogs thoughts, it even saying to itself, its not like this, why is it acting like this. I read somewhere they wanted to do that in the movie, but couldnt seem to do it, without it being silly, so they decided not to have the dogs thoughts on screen
