Remember, Jason is also from Florida....all you need to know.

To be fair, after the chainsaw was invented it was more commonly used for cutting infected bones out rather than the rare times the specific surgery to aid childbirth was done.

The chainsaw was able to cut the bone with smaller overall incisions than a traditional bone saw.  Mostly if the bone was infected before antibiotics were discovered they needed to be be removed to help heal.  It was used for a long time until the twisted wire saw was invented, which needs even smaller incisions and can't get logged in the bone if it breaks.

8:24 It's all fun and games 'till someone loses a thumb. Then it's just a game: Find the Thumb.

1:40 Briar, there's all kinds of surgical procedures for something to get extended. Like your legs if you want to get taller, that's something you can do. So I'm not surprised that we figured out how to enhance downstairs.

I love seeing new people react to this content ❤

In the U.S. State of Georgia, fireworks used to be illegal. So everyone just went to the Georgia/Alabama border to buy their fireworks and bring them back across the border to Georgia. So everyone had Fireworks.

Eventually Georgia just bit the bullet and allowed for the sale of fireworks in the state. It got rid of the illegal smuggling of fireworks, but the rest of the problems remained. Though now they were legally allowed problems.

8:30 my grandpa once caused a similar thing with an ambulance crew.  He used a wood burning furnace for years, and had a powered (not sure if it was electric or hydraulic) log splitter.  One day as he was processing down some logs he got his finger caught.  This resulted in the ambulance crew who responded to search, for his wedding ring.  He mostly ended up with a bad laceration and needed some stitches.  In the end, the ring was stuck inside his work glove.  However, I can just imagine the neighbors assuming it was a game of "find the finger".

1:20 its a metal implant

9:53 He's not exaggerating. You'd think a firework doesn't have the force required to open a brain cage. And you'd be wrong. I'm not sure how a firework has more impact than a fist, but yeah the result isn't pretty.

I'll never understand the people that treat ambulances like taxis, at least in the U.S. ambulance rides aren't free here

My father had an EMT friend that told him a story...our unfortunately true tale takes place in the late 80s and starts with a pair of roommates, a lot of booze...and their pet rattlesnake.

Lets call these men i1 and i2, standing for idiot 1 and 2. They got really drunk and decided to test their courage and skill by teasing their pet rattlesnake. They'd bang on the glass and yell at him to rial him up then they'd take turns putting their fingers under the lid of his enclosure, pulling their hands back before he struck. Then they'd laugh at him when he banged his head on the glass or lid and got dazed.

Well, after a while, this wasn't challenging enough for these sportsmen so i1 got the epic idea to do the same thing...but with his tongue. Surprising no one reading this I'm sure, the snake got his tongue.

Now panicking, i1 and i2 remembered the old wives tale about slashing the bite wound open and sucking out the venom. (That's 100% false by the way, you can't get the venom out that way, you'll just make the wound worse and more likely to get infected). Well, the two thought that since the bite was on his tongue, he could probably suck it out himself, but they had to cut it open, so i2 went and got his box cutter.

Now they sliced open his tongue a bunch of times and i1 sucked and spit for a while. Figuring it was probably enough they tried to bandage his tongue but they had a problem (that they realized I mean), the bandages they had would not stay on and his tongue wouldn't stop bleeding for some mysterious, unknown reason. (can you tell I'm being sarcastic?)

So i2 had the brilliant idea to cauterize the wound...so he went and got his blow torch. After taking the gas cutting torch to the cuts on i1's tongue...it straight up fell off. It was then...and only then...that i2 decided to call 911.

My dad's friend was in the responding ambulance and i2 told him the entire story on the fairly long ride to the hospital. Now, they story isn't quite over. Upon arrival at the hospital, the EMTs are talking to the doctor and i2 struts proudly up to him. i2 explains that he read that doctors are getting really good at reattaching severed body parts and as long as the part is kept cold and brought to the hospital in time, they can put it back on. He then proceeds to present the tongue to the doctor.

The doctor looks down and sighs. He looks at i2 and explains that the cut needs to be a straight clean one for there to be a chance usually but...even if they hadn't sliced his tongue to ribbons then set it on fire, there still wouldn't be anything he could do because the pickle brine in the still full jar of pickles i2 had kept the tongue in on the ride to the hospital would have completely killed any viability it might have otherwise had.

Whenever I tell this story people often ask me for clarifying details or follow up info. I'm afraid I have provided all the details I know, what happened after was not something my dad's friend told him but man, quite a ride huh.

1:45 The same reason women get implants, butt injections, liposuction, plastic surgery etc.

Make ourselves feel better.

I need to attend one of these Dutch new years. Sounds like a fun time.

9:30 Yup. Fireworks are technically illegal in my state with one exception (I assume) for organized shows. Personal use is illegal, but everywhere still sells them "assuming" you're using them in the next state. And every twice a year there are soooo many fireworks going off everywhere.

A content creator I watch once tried making buttered toast by buttering the bread and then putting it in the toaster. iirc the aftermath of that was in a vlog he did years ago. (It wasn't something he was doing specifically for a video he just did daily vlogs and it was something he did during the day because he wanted some buttered toast)

1:40 - I can't speak for everywhere, but at least in the US there is a male insecurity epidemic right now. That revelation that he had surgery to give him an "advantage" in that way did not surprise me in the least. In fact, that's one of the more normal surgeries I'd expect a man to get in America to ease their insecurity. There are men in the US willing to get surgery to give them a couple inches of overall height, which is a procedure that involves breaking your legs to install extenders, and requires physical therapy for several months afterward so that you can walk correctly. Chances are high that this could cause permanent damage, but I've seen far too many young men wishing they had the money to do it.

0:57 yeah can tell by the smoke coming from the car window

Gelukkig nieuwjaar, hoop dat iedereen al zijn ledematen nog heeft!

“Baby chainsaw”😂

These shorts prove the meme that women live longer than men true.
