I worked in an A&E (ER) for 6 years, there's a reason I now work in the mortuary; the patients a far more pleasant.

13:09 knife safety tip: You're supposed to hold the knife by the BACK of the blade when you're handing it to someone. This person had to have been holding it by the edge.

24:00 DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) is a blood clot usually caused by lack of activity after a leg injury, however you can also be unlucky and it can just happen even if you are active after an injury. But once it starts happening you need to stay as still as possible otherwise the blood clot can break loose from the leg and travel into the lungs killing you.

Explanation he gave for that first one, apparently “chip” can be slang for her0in. And the guy with the teardrop tattoo, prisoners often get those after someone they knew died. So there’s a high probability he knew someone who OD’d on her0in and, needless to say, didn’t appreciate the student’s little pun. 😅

Head scritches for Nakoiya

30:40 Fun Fact: to get a driver's license in Germany you have to attend a First Aid class, and get a certification for that you can administer basic first aid

Fun safety fact for the gas line leak one, first off the smell is added to make it easier to identify, and second do not use electronics in the area you suspect to be leaking gas. Not all devices are intrinsically safe, or might have a slight defect that doesn't cause a major issue to the use of the device but can still ignite flammable vapors. It's why you see signs around gas pumps telling you not to use your phone around them, not only to promote people paying attention to avoid a spill but because not all phones are of a high enough quality, or in perfect working order, to ensure it can't accidentally ignite the gas vapors.

So leave the area and then call once you stop smelling rotten eggs.

Guys I think that guy might live in Florida.

0:39 Eh, don't stress yourself thinking about it. I'm serious. Visualizing the scenario increases your blood pressure, making you more likely to suffer a ruptured aneurysm.

Being this guy’s neighbor must be so entertaining with all his filming.

The word of the day is: Florida

Fun fact about 12:40 is that that scene was between Jason (the guy who is FDC) and his older brother, with Jason having been the one whose hand was sliced (happened back when he was a teen).

26:53 I feel like they hired a first year med student to consult and all they did was tell the writers what things were called.

13:05 that's how you hand someone a knife, you point the handle towards them while you hold the blade, granted your not supposed to have the sharp side pressed against your palm and the other person isnt supposed to yank it with the might off Zeus.

Also, if it helps, when I was 4, I swallowed a bell (one of those tiny ones that folks used to stitch onto clothes). The doctor at the hospital said "Well, we just have to wait. If he poops it out, then we're good. If not, it will be a scope or surgery to retrieve it." It came out naturally a couple of days later.
