This is probably my favourite analogue story. I find fascinating how the author took a documentary approach by putting the creatures in a semi-realistic scenario where nature adapt with them and viceversa. ALSO one of the few analogues where the humans don't just do the bare minimum if nothing. People can actually fight back and stand their ground.

I'm currently in college, and one weekend when I was visiting home, I showed my mother and grandma Vita Carnis. About halfway through, my grandma says "Can you believe stuff like this exists?!" and me and my mom realized the documentary style was so convincing she legit thought the Trimmings, Meat Snake, and Mimic were real creatures. I was feeling a little devious that week, so rather than correct her, I just said "Yeah, it's absolutely nuts," to which my mother rightfully punched me in the arm before explaining to my grandmother that the mimic wasn't going to hide in her furniture.

Wendigoon watched this live, he was convinced for a while that the knocking was in his house and it was funny af. I'm glad I was watching that live.

Terrifying and fleshy, a good description of Vita Carnis

Alicia definitely needs to look into the "Mystery Flesh Pit National Park"

Wendigoon getting freaked the hell out at the door knock sound effect was freaking hilarious, I say as I jump in my seat eery single goddamn time I hear it, such a troll move :D

I was listening to this while doing chores and an add popped up and the first words I heard were "Why dont people eat these? They are delicious."

21:19 can we all just state the fact that the person only died because he/she kept THE F**KING LIGHT ON THE HOLE TI-

favorite tidbit about the lore: the largest meat snake discovered was trapped in a subway tunnel in 1945 Germany. It had 7 skulls lining it's mouth and was 30 meters long with distinctively darker toned flesh.

I have to wonder if fans of Vita Carinis, depending where they live in the world, plays into which creatures they find scariest? Mimics are considered the scariest creature overall, but appear worldwide in highly populated areas. I live in woodsy areas in NA and would have to worry more about harvesters, AND hosts. If you’re like me, that extra caution required for harvesters and hosts, would make you more alert to keep an eye out for those two specifically and less on mimics which only makes mimics more dangerous.

Not me refreshing youtube channels waiting for uploads

17:55 I love how chat started here to say "WHY IS RUSSIA IS EMPTY???:0"
Like....don`t they know, that most of territory is very little populated? Most of people live closer to west part of country.

Ah yes yet another series that made me wake up everytime I heard something in the middle of the night

Sarkics: Write that down WRITE THAT DOWN!!

Honestly the vita carnis artist and creator is one of my favorite analog horrors and I'm so happy to continue seeing where the story goes next

19:36 yo. This door knock wrecked me

ooooo I love Vita Carnis, we need the rest of the series! Darian Quilloy is a master at Practical effects aswell, he uses Puppets and models to bring Vita Carnis to live in a way no other Analog Horror does
