I'll be honest. I only owned Mega Man 1 and 2 but I have played this one on the PS2 collection. As always Gary, Blaze and Fluff deserve all the likes they can get.

21:45 - This game was released well before calling something "the $cussword bomb" was a thing people did.

51:50 - Whoa. I never knew that!

Proto Man's Castle looks like a supervillain home improvement store.

I remember buying this game as a kid with some birthday money relatives sent me in cards and being so excited. Obviously not on the same level as 2,3, and 4 but it still holds a spot in my heart. I’ve played it a million times

I found it much easier to not launch the Star Crash at Gravity Man but to get close to him as he either Jumps across the ceiling and especially when he goes up/down and let him collide with the Star Shield to take damage.

1) On Napalm Man (18:49), if you stay close to him, he'll never shoot the missiles from his head. Get him closer to the center of the room, charge your shot while walking under him when he jumps and get about 2-3 blocks away from where he lands, then turn around, approach him and release the fully-charged shot when the bombs go up, avoiding the explosion in the process. Charge/walk under the jump until 2-3 blocks away, turn/approach/release when the bombs go up, repeat until defeated.

2) At 22:40, you could have used a Super Arrow and rode it to the right to save time and health.

3) I didn't hear it mentioned at 22:55, but blasting through the right wall and sliding through leads to an energy refill and weapon refill.

4:00 Could you imagine the arsenal he'd have by the end of Mega Man 6 (or whatever number they're at now)?! I always appreciated the roll call at the end where you get to see the robot masters one last time (and the creator as well). This was the last NES Mega Man cart that I tracked down. Definitely played them out of order growing up (3,1,2,4,6 and 5).

Star Crash? Now that's a great movie!

Now we're talkin'; excellent class as always, Professor! I know this isn't exactly the most liked entry in the series, but for me, this was always special since this was the first Mega Man I beat by myself 100% back in the day. Not in the completely correct boss order, but with a good bit of stubborn "GIT GUD" for any boss without super-specific weaknesses...especially Gravity Man and Gyro Man.
