I bought a 2014 1.8 Petrol Mk9, had been SORN for 2 years, quick charge of the battery, started it up, and it’s never given me an issue. Absolutely excellent cars and fun to drive!

My daughter has a 16 plate 1.6 diesel. £20 road tax and 70 mpg. She absolutely loves it.

I just put a deposit down on a really nice mk9 Honda Civic and your videos really helped me search for a good car. Thanks!

I bought a 2011 mk 8 1.4ivtec, it's my first car, I'm very happy with it👍

The facelift is better from 2015+ with a reworked suspension as well

My 2012 lasted 11 years then the consumption went up to 1L per 400 miles. Failed the MOT, cat was screwed and was quoted 3.5k to fix it. Apart from that, great car!

Best car I've ever owned KT13MVO miss you.

I have an early 1.8 with 234k km on it, and it uses a litre of oil every 3,300ish km. It's not the end of the world.

Just sold my 2015 1,4, for the last 5 years it has made the journey from the UK to our second home in central Portugal. If you fill up in Portsmouth you can arrive in Santander, drive just past Castelo Branco in Portugal with 100+ miles of range left. Apart from blowing a dipped beam build it has been 100% reliable. It tackles the long hills easily by sticking it in 4th, economy has been 50+ mpg.

I wish I had this video available some years ago. I got one of those first 2012 with the oil issue. Still a solid car, but avoid the early examples like the plague.

I have the 2013 1.6 idtec executive 150,000 miles, very comfortable,£20 road tax and surprisingly quick car.

I have the 1.8 ivtec in a fn3 from late 2007, owned this for 13 years and it’s been perfect 👌

Wife had a late 2016 CRV with the 1.6 dreamworks engine. No issues at all too

That civic looks like it's had a good coating of Lanoguard on the underside, which isn't a bad thing

I have the 1.6 diesel estate. Its an absolute beauty of a car. Fun to drive, super practical, carries my mountain bikes and all the family. 70mpg (80mpg if you sit with the trucks at 60mph). Just about to go over 100k. I will be disappointed if I don't get 300k out of it.
