90% certain that Sega put out a poll for what fans wanted in the future. the biggest amount of replies asked for more Shadow, and for a character to have guns

Basically, Shadow has no memory of who he is after SA2, and is trying to recover his memories to find out who he is.
He can vaguely remember Maria dying, but doesn't even remember who she was. I think

So they didn't actually recycle any of their bosses. The way Shadow the Hedgehog works is that it's a game with multiple endings, which is why at some points Shadow beats Black Doom, some endings he's taking over the planet, and it's also why you see Eggman alive after the endings where Shadow kills him (Yes Shadow actually kills Eggman, that's what those karate chop things were). Because of the multiple endings, you fight the bosses only once in their respective paths, it's just some paths have the same bosses, but they're never used more than once in a path.

The inspiration for giving Shadow a gun was “after finishing Sonic Heroes, Takashi Iizuka finally had a chance to play some of the games on his backlog and one of those games was Jak II”

"What was the inspiration for giving Shadow a gun?"
Literally Jak and Daxter 2.

Definitely do sonic 06 snap cube fandub

She missed the audio equipment joke cause she kept pausing 💔

PSYCHIC ATTACK to this day fucking kills me. I can just imagine him in the booth pointing at him as he yells it

>What was the inspiration of giving Shadow a gun?
Sega of Europe.
That's it.

30:13 nah its not the same VA! Eggman is voiced by Alfred, and The Devil is voiced by Scout! (though as you can see in the intro credits, at the time this fandub was made she still went by the name Chase)

1:26 You know you're in for a ride when this is how they do the villain.

Yeah so in game,  Shadow crashes to Earth and was assumed dead in the ending of SA2 but he survived the fall to Earth from the Ark and lost his memories. The Shadow game is all about him trying to recover his memories essentially. Its a neat game cus there's multiple paths you can take that alter the ending

The sin points concept is so intriguing and surprisingly well developed for being improv, also love the parasocial  subplot lol

1:02:20 I think some of them know the games and some don't. Like, Alfred specifically said during the SA2 recording that he'd never played it, so everything that happened in that game was new to him. Penny, on the other hand, seems to know the games; that's how they were able to do that "bark like a dog" bit so flawlessly.

Love that sunny never changes "lets watch something normal" then the fever dream that follows XD

34:33 Ok the "tire" thing is a reference to the previous dub, Sonic Riders.

Just completely missed the "updating my audio equipment" joke

Awww she wouldve loved the credits rap. Oh well. Im glad she enjoyed it

48:23 "Wait, are you telling me you're upset that humans sin? What the fuck is wrong with you!? You suck as the devil! This is why I'm gonna usurp you one day! Maybe... If I decide that... Idk, I've lost control of my life!" I absolutely lost it laughing at this. 🤣

I love this one so much. You should definitely check out Sonic 06 and Riders since they chronologically come before this one and I genuinely think the Sonic 06 one is a masterpiece.
