Fun fact: deadpool’s taunt actually has a hitbox and does a tiny amount of damage so it is possible to KO someone with it

22:39 The joke with Phoenix Wright is that most of his moves are incidental and he's not really TRYING to fight you. He's just collecting evidence and you just happen to be in his way when goify stuff happens. Because he's... Well, just a lawyer.

Then again, this is a man who canonically got hit by a car, got thrown 30ft by said impact into a light post and only sprained his ankle for like a day from it.

Fun Fact: This is the highest paying Marvel vs Capcom 3 tournament of all-time.

"...is it still updated, supported, and balanced?"
Everyone in chat had to be ROLLING when she asked that.  That's cute.

So to get a little technical, Vergil is extremely versatile: he can be played in any position and does not require any babysitting. He does appreciate the assists of his teammates, but he can take it or leave it. He can start the match as a pointman and generate you the resources your hard carry character needs, you can relegate him to an assist only character and he can hard carry you as an anchor, he can play keepaway and spam his judgement cut special attack to keep the opponent as far as possible or he can rush you down with his teleports and Rapid Slash special attack to be all in your face. Whatever your plan is, Vergil can do it.
Vergil's damage output is astronomical, a proper Vergil user can absolutely make a comeback from 1v3 in 19 seconds. Also, his sword swings delete projectiles.
Vergil has low HP, but due to his teleports, Summoned Swords super and biblical damage, you really can't tell as all that makes his HP last for a very long time and makes him an insane threat.
Speaking of Summoned Swords, that super at the cost of 1 super bar can: protect you from projectiles full stop, can damage opponents up close, essentially doubling his already biblical damage output and he can spend another bar of super meter to position the swords for dangerous mixups.
Like his brother Dante, he has Devil Trigger, which gives Vergil more damage (he needs it guys, trust), regenerating health and additional mobility at the cost of being unable to gain super meter, do I even need to explain why this is so absurdly good?
Vergil has a level 4 super and is the only character to have one. To use it, you need to be in Devil Trigger, but it can delete 3/4 of the oppponent's HP unscaled (game has a scaling on damage, longer combos = less damage per hit), so you can absolutely touch an opponent once with an attack and kill the opponent in a single combo. Also, that super leaves the opponent in a crumpled state, which just means *you get to continue your combo afterwards if the super somehow did not kill the character*. The only character who's super is stronger damage wise is, hilariously, Phoenix Wright.
It's arguable if he's in Top 3, because characters such as Zero, Phoenix, Magneto, Morrigan and Sentinel exist and they have their own extreme bullshit, but Vergil is so versatile that he can be played with anyone and still win. As one of Russian Badger's friends put it in Lythero's highlight reel after Badger told Lythero to play Chun-Li, Spider-Man and Vergil as a handicap: "You gave him dirt, water and a .44 Magnum".

The collective reaction when Badger tells the gang that there actually $50,000 is on the line right before the tournament starts is hilarious

Every time bro gets cut off from yelling with a Windows Crash notification always KILLS me.

Vergil - a character that's broken in every game he's playable in. No matter the game, if you see him on the roster, everyone else drops down a lower tier to make room for him

Funnily enough, there's also Lythero's video UMvC3 Lobby Shenanigans 7 serves as a "Behind the Scenes" preqel to the RussianBadger video. Same guy that did the Shadow the Hedgehog stream where he had to swap back and forth between Good or Evil to get the final ending.

"What's the difference between Simple vs Classic controls?"
Classic is the old fashioned way where you have to input buttons to form a combo, like Forward ( -> ) Light Punch, Medium Kick, Heavy Punch.. and so on. This is what most pros or long time fighting-game veterans stick with.

Simple (or sometimes called Modern controls) is where you can just spam one button to perform a combo, no need to study move sets.. but the downside to this is that it can be a bit restricting with how you play.

22:10 phoenix wright has a super called "order in the court!" It costs 1 bar of meter to use and makes phoenix wright momentarily invincible while a giant gavel strikes the area

2 things

Garry and Lythero are litteral GODS at fighting games

And you gotta check his Lobby shenanigans 6 and 7, it's a fever dream 😂

People who collect sneakers try to preserve them as much as possible, to maintain their sell value. So creasing them across the toe box excessively would be like, bending a rare/expensive Pokemon card in front of a collector, for example.

10:30 "I need someone to teach me fighting games."

My Woolie senses are tingling.

17:17 "So this game is old, is it still supported, updated and balanced? "
Ooohhh... Sunny.... My sweet child...
Never was!

While it’s not still OFFICIALLY supported, there’s a very passionate community that plays the game to this day, and has a modding community that adds characters to the roster.

Lythero has his own version video called  UMvC3 - Lobby Shenanigans 7  that includes some more silly stuff they did if you want to see more of Lythero  and Gary slapping people around.

4:55 "how much do jays cost" yes

00:30 yup. That's the fgc😂😂😂

Can we all agree Sunny needs to see the EDF video?
