During the rainy season in Hanoi, my income at the spa drops significantly to around $200 a month. Instead of just worrying, I decided to find ways to make extra money to help support my family and prepare for my sister’s upcoming delivery.

In this vlog, I make my first batch of homemade yogurt to sell, cook a simple traditional lunch to bring to work, and share an honest look at my daily routine living on a low budget in Vietnam.

I have yogurt nearly every morning at work. I top it with granola and small bits of chocolate. It's about 2.80 in total, I'd guess. Making Yogurt to help pay for your family's needs while filming videos. You have a big heart.

Hi Vanie, My mom made homemade yogurt years ago and it was delish....as soon as it was done, we ate them up. Good luck on turning that into a business. Sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. That is crazy that they did that to him and eventually let him go and made him sign a voluntary resignation. That would be illegal here in the U.S. I wish your sister a healthy delivery when the time come. Congrats! Yeah, I haven't eaten yogurt in a while but need to pick that back up. The Greek thick yogurt was just too hard to eat everyday. There are high protein yogurts here in the U.S. as well. Like others have said, when they are on sale, you could get something like 10 small containers for $6USD. Take for now.

Vanie, you can also share your side work with the clients at the spa. Some of them may want to order for special occasions or even for their daily needs. You can ask the owner for permission, and if he says yes, you can start offering it to the clients. I wish you the best of luck, darling! ❤

Hi Van , Good effort in making yogurt. For products like yogurt, timely marketing and sales are very important. If there is a delay in selling it, the yogurt may become sour and lose its value.
In our place half kg yogurt costs $ 0.25.
You may also want to explore businesses that require little or no investment but offer good profit potential. For example, on your days off, you could work as a walking tour guide in tourist areas and earn extra income. You could also promote your spa to potential customers and, if your company offers it, earn a commission for bringing in new clients or leads..
